Rowdy

Let's see how he goes against Jennings or Blake next week vs Parra.

Three weeks ago, I would have told you that Brooks and Mybe were our best defensive backs, and you know how that has gone the last two weeks.

It's good that we have some options though.

Don’t think he replaces either.

I am not so sure about that. Lawrence is a much better defender than both of them and I’d have Mbye ahead of BJ in that area as well. If Madge makes his Selection based on defence then it could be interesting.

BJ from the bench anyone? He is certainly more impactful than the other two. Could he handle a short stint in the back row?

BJ nice and fresh coming off the bench should rip right in and give the team a great boost while he is on the field.

The nofa first try I think rowdy even knows his speed is severely limited in 2020. 10 years ago he would of walked that try in himselt.

However his defence is great and runs fantastic lines close to try line

I think when bj back he takes left centre position.

He did his job well. Very unselfish performance and tried as hard as always. Can’t see him retaining his spot when full strength but he’s been good when we’ve needed him to be.

He'll go fine they'll be looking for him in defence and against the slimeys thats what it will be all about

Seems to have picked up mobility and looking great at centre looks more comfortable there than second row

I’d say the COVID break and the time on the sidelines has done his body the world of good. Definitely looks freer moving than I have seen for a long time.

could the centres be BJ and Rowdy and put Mmbe to the bench

I wouldn't discount that combo.

The answer will depend on how he defends the Gutho, D Brown, Jennings, Sivo edge this week. Has looked very solid the last two weeks defensively. Has also been good in the air on cross field kicks surprisingly. Has come up with it on contest several times the last 2 weeks. Good job Rowdy.

Put Mbye up in the stand with me.

His last two weeks especially have been pathetic.

Why is he immune Madge?????

Drop him for God's sake.

By the way all you knockers - hows the "old Flipper" - "Feet for hands" going the last few weeks????

Not bad for a NO-HOPER!

Rowdy has done a solid job there Like Aubusson does for roosters. Reliable there but not your first choice. He has done good

Takes McQueen's spot on the bench or Garners spot

Garner played well enough to hold his IMO. Rowdy gets McQueens spot or Brooks' if we are going with 4 forwards on the bench next week.

Yes Garner was good tonight. Brooks' spot is very interesting, he won't find form without reserve grade being played

Brooks' demotion was supposedly due to his weak defence vs Souths. Form is not so much the issue with him IMO, it is more the perception that he was just coasting along assuming his spot in the team was guaranteed. A few weeks on the pine or out of the team altogether will do him the world of good and raise his intensity/passion. He has had it too easy for too long with no-one capable of taking his spot. That has changed now, we will see the benefits of that with a more hungry and committed Brooks hopefully.
Look at Walters last night, he was a hound-dog, diving on every loose ball and scrapping for everything. That is the sort of intent Madge would love to see.
