OFFICIAL Royce Hunt #298

Where's all the supercoaches that were convinced Hunt was an upgrade on Stefano and telling us he was going to come here and up his fitness and minutes and all the rest of it? (Surely they have the answer)?

It really is Fantasy Footy.... Isn't it.
They scurry away and hide once they are proven wrong.

I think we are all shocked that he has reverted to a sheep a day and a dozen stouts diet.

You would think a fresh start at a new club would motivate a player it will be interesting to see if he has any will power to turn it back around, showing something today in reserve grade would be a good start there will be a few of us watching.

controversial thought . Do you think his low output is due to may. May is basically on the field entire game and you see him take one or two hit ups a set. A bit like broncos suffer with Haas , against the titans it seemed to me Hass did less hit ups then usual and allowed for the rest of the pack and team to step up

Rubbish. He's overweight and lazy. He can call for the ball if he wants to run. Dud.

There’s plenty that aren’t shocked…
- like I said way back when…
Took him till almost 30 to make a name for himself - even when we signed him, he openly said he was looking to retire
(a year out) a late starter looking to retire at 30 - that’s not a bloke who’s unfit, or in the wrong position or environment, looking to progress.

That’s a bloke who can’t be Farked
No matter what the job is.

If he puts on any more weight, he will have to get around in a heavy-duty mobility scooter.
It sucks we needed a bigger body off the bench as you have said in the past, for years we have been running with light replacements.

If he doesn't pull his finger out and drop weight playing bigger minutes in reserve grade well there's no hope for him, can see the club trying to get rid of him, FFS Royce show some pride.

Find it unfair he's getting a lot of crap - he was never brought to the club to play as a starting prop, or for more than 30-35 minutes I'd imagine.

He is an impact prop, and before that horror game he started - he had been doing a pretty good job of it.

Wouldn't call him a terrible signing just yet.

I’m unsure why it hasn’t been shared, maybe given recent whispers about the club and injuries, but it happens at every team. Players play through injury. We took our kids to a training session while in town weeks ago and spoke with Royce. We got talking about his junior club which is our local club in Perth. He said he’s been playing with fractured ribs since the Newcastle game, we didn’t think much of it at the time but he wasn’t training with the team when we were out there.

It’s probably unfair to expect much more out of him then benchie that plays 20 mins … that’s what he was when they bought him … I wasn’t keen on him for that reason, but I guess May’s long minutes makes it work if Hunt gives you something like he did at the start of the season…

His 8 minute effort against the Cowboys though shows he wasn’t even at that level anymore

I think it's actually a smart move getting minutes into him in NSW Cup. It's probably something he'll need every 5-6 weeks or so if he's only a 25 minute player in NRL. Another run in NSW cup this week and he'll be good to go.

Only mistake Benji made was giving him a starting role in the NRL.
It was only out of necessity. No Pole injury n Hunt would be still coming off the bench.
