OFFICIAL Royce Hunt #298

I would not assume he is currently overweight, it's all about what his most optimal playing weight is for his role. Watching the Vlog from Terrell you notice that Terrell is not cut up and ripped like Twal and some of the other forwards, however we know you can't question his stamina. I think Royce probably does struggle with his weight; however, he has always looked like a fridge with legs. When big boys like him with a big appetite get injured, it takes them longer to get back to optimal playing fitness and it looks like he might be there now....next few games will be telling.

Think everyone wants all the players to do well but when you’re not getting value out of someone that creates issues.

Think he could go well if he gets fit but also not peeved if he goes to Super League. Good option for him too.
As he did for the sharks, he is an impact player 10-15 minutes either side of halftime is perfect. Exactly what we need and why we purchased him. He changes the momentum in the game at a time we normally fail, he may not tear a hole in them but draws defenders in. Allowing for the roll on, we don’t need the longer minutes we have May and Twal aka ‘The Bishop’ for that.

Would you say we are partial to flogging the Bishop?

I thought Royce was pretty good last week.

We can't have 1 run for 8m & 3 tackles types of games from him.

If he gets genuine gametime, and genuine touches of the ball, Royce is fine.

I want him to stay.

I was sitting behind the Tigers goal line at the Parra game. I got to watch close up how Luai spoke to him, prep’ing him to run off the back fence. Roycey was ready to run through a wall. It was arm tingling.

He wants to make an impact. You can’t fake what I saw.

Injury free, with consistent minutes he will come good.

Further, we literally do not have another who can do the role we signed him up for… a short stint either side of half time that sucks life out of oppositions
Thing is, we were going pretty well when Benji was using Royce in that role, but then he changed it to bring him on late with the game already lost against the donkeys, yet starting in the next match. Then to purgatory in reserves.

Thankfully it seems that he eventually came back to his senses to again utilise Hunt properly against the dogs, and what do you know, the team is back to winning after a long corresponding drought.

Lost all respect for him the second I saw him vape in a TDM vlog, professional players doing that shit, hopefully richo can use the Jordan miller playbook again

Bit like the reason we signed bud for $500k...we were desperate after having to watch Wakeham/Brooks and the other guy stink it up.
True, but kinda not the same.

What I mean by this is:
A forward can usually be a forward. You may not be perfect but it's grab ball, run forward. If you can step or actually pass a bonus.
We should be getting some performance from Hunt, except for the first few games and his last game... he has been a fizzer.

A halfback is really like the brain in your NRL team.
Your not just risking a forward, your risking the entire bloody team performance. That said, we may have had to take the risk... I mean Wayne Bennett has Lewis Dodd as a benchwarmer at Souths and I am sure he is on Sullivan's money... But 4 years??

Actually that's probably the big difference. 2 year contract risks are a hell of a lot easier to recover from.
