Rubbish

What an absolutely pathetic performance - as usual, we were our own worst enemies. If Canberra weren't so appallingly bad, we would have got beaten today.

* The vast majority of the game was played IN OUR OWN HALF only because we were too useless to build and sustain any pressure
At half time, Canberra had completed 13/21 sets and the commentators were giving them flak. We had completed 15/21 - is that much better?
Drop balls, stupid penalties and how many times after we scored tries did we not complete sets?
As for the second half, ONCE AGAIN we didn't go on with it. We never go on with it. Every time we are up by 6 points the boys decide their job is done and go to asleep. If you are leading 19-0 at half time, then you put on another 20 and smash them, You don't let them back in the game. But we do - each and every week.

If anyone thinks this team make the top 8, you are deluding yourselves. Had we played pretty much anyone else, with all the possession and field position we gave them, we would have got hammered.

There were definitely some improvements and good signs today (long range attack, in your face defence), but there is still HEAPS of work to do.

At 25 nil we tried a few things in the wet that didn't pay off. It was a good chance to build the for and against.

We got the job done, I'm happy with that. The real test comes against Manly on Monday.

you must be on drugs, we bwat canberra at canberra, comprehensively, .Melbourne and Titans couldnt do that.
Give yourself an uppercut

do you watch Storm games?? they made 3 grand final winning ugly games like that

all that matters is the W

would you rather we play good and have another 2 point loss??

we won in Canberra which is rare be happy!

calm down. Enjoy the win.

You didn't watch the game did you?

There were things in the Tigers control like the opportunity to create pressure whuich they didnt, kicking early in tackles, it looked like they thought it was all too easy ….is create pressure in our game plan?
It could have been a much better 2nd half

The only thing that was poor was our handling. Defense, attack, penetration, skill… it was all there. Just handling was the problem. And ill discipline to a lesser extent.

I don't know how you could walk away from that game unhappy. Defensively it was the best performance all season, the fact that most of the game was played in our own half was a testament to that.

The boys get bagged constantly for their defense and then beat Canberra in Canberra in the wet with a defense orientated gameplan. Jesus.. no pleasing some on here.

Yes it could've been a lot better, but "rubbish"?

Mate it was a forwards game today and I'm pretty sure alot of the field position was on the back of penalties… We won a grinding game of the back of great defence. Not to mention a fair few dropped balls were the result of stiff defence or hard hits... reminded me of the Storm game at LO this year

Wake up

Bit harsh!!
A good win is a good win.
Yes Canberra played pretty bad but a lot of those errors were forced by some aggressive defence which is something I don;t remember from us for a long long time.
Yes we could have gone on with another 2 or 3 tries but we tried a couple of those dumb wraparound kicks. Sheens - stop that play it's dumb.
Opposition, canberra stadium, wet, cold conditions.
I'm pretty happy with that game.
esp. our defence because there weren;t those ugly holes which we've had for the last few years with cheap misses by players like halatau, harrison, Marshall.
Also there was a defensive structure and plan which was 1 correct and 2 stuck to by the players.
We haven't done that in years.

that was our biggest winning margin in canberra,,, they held 55% of the ball , mostly in our half and you call it absolutely pathetic….we have a few new combinations .. give it some time ......

after losing all those close games on pretty decent form i'm glad we were able to get a comfortable win without playing great football.

better than being the better team that lost for whatever reason.sick of those.
