Our club used to go for drinks after training at the Railway Hotel same nights as Wests after they trained. Donnelly could certainly down a few beers - just didn't know when to stop.
Very sentimental legend TO, the first test I ever went to with my old man, MA Noble stand, I was blown away, 60,000 plus crowd, crikey that’s a hundred years ago !
Just checked, crowd almost 69,000, Poms won 31-12 , lost in Brisbane but won the 3rd Test and the Ashes.
Never forget tip toeing across the bike track when coming out or returning to the change rooms.
Steel Studs back then didn’t go to well with the slanted concrete track.
