Boustead Reddy Close and Morris or Wally the Wanker in Union

Close didn't play for NSW , so you can rule that one out

Don't take the neg to heart Happy, we all love you that was one of your worst posts

What ??

Chris Choppy Close never played for NSW Milky , I checked out all of the Qlders just in case and he was the 1st I checked

My bad i misread the post! Thought you were calling him a wanker because he played for NSW haha!

Wasn't worried about the neg rep , I thought you were saying my info was wrong

He was the one bloke who probably was good enough that was living in NSW to play for NSW that I didn't consider at the time

Now I thinking differently though

Did NSW play any games against touring Test sides like England ,NZ ,France etc in either 80/81

But Watto's not smart enough to think of something like that …... :roll

Okay Watto needs to clarify the question. As I understand it, the question is which 4 players have played for NSW, Qld and Australia in the same calendar year. Not necessarily all 4 in the same year, just that all 4 achieved the feat in a single year of their personal careers. And all did it in rugby league. Is this true Watto?

Correct Yoss

Kerry Boustead is definitely one. I'm not sure Chris Close ever played for NSW.

Morris and Reddy both did it in 1980\. So I'm going to say:

Boustead, Reddy, Morris and Paul McCabe but with the added wrinkle of saying Dally Messenger also did this AND played for NZ in 1908.

Yoss got it right…

Boustead 80/81
Reddy 80
Morris 80/81
McCabe 81

I just checked Messenger and he did do it also... Didnt realise he played 1 game for Qld in 1908, thought they were all NSW/Aus etc. EDIT: _After checking the Qld Journal, the game Messenger played in wasnt a Queensland Team, moreso an Exhibition Game which only had 4 Queenslanders in, and was therefore made up with NSW/Australia Players._

Your question Yoss... Dont make it too hard for Happy

We will learn you Engwish before you ask new question Watto :brick:

Who did the Wests Tigers play their first game against. (Please take careful note of the question wording!)

Was going to say Alfie but that was for QLD.

Was said player playing in the ESL?

Alfie was still playing in the BRL for the Ipswich Jets

Give us a year Watto

Conescu was 1984

Stryker is correct… Smithy was playing for Bradford in 2003 (i think was the year) when Chris Anderson called him into the squad
