Rumor - Fulton Done.

Fulton is being stood down for the remainder of the season by Wests Tigers…so the rumour goes...

He's a hearty player though….
We'll miss him, especially if we lose any other of the gutsy fellas that really have a go each week. ( injury )

i rate him as our most important player in this squad next to farah and woods.

we'll miss him very badly. hope he looks after his health.

Hope he is O.K, Loved him as a Player, And gave everything for this Club.

Yeah,AtB for the future, great club man. When i saw the Thread i thought it was Bob.,talk he is stepping down from SoO.

I sat 2 rows behind Fults, Payten and a bunch of other Tigers at Wednesday nights SOO. He was in very good spirits(no pun intended).as they all were..his diet of chips, hot dog and coke suggested he is letting himself go….so maybe he wont be back this year...

I've met Fulton a few times over the years & he's always been a knock about larrikin . I doubt he's ever bothered about healthy options regarding food etc … He's always been more of a soldier than an athlete . It'll be sad if he goes out this way and not on his own terms ... A top bloke and a real tiger !!

Very sad if true.

I think players have insurance now don't they? Two years salary from memory?

He will leave a big hole in the defensive structure.

When you think about it..there could be a lot of truth to this…

It's clear Fults with his 4 concussions this year has some swelling to the brain - as he is being concussed with knocks to the head many others take without incidence..the medico's would have taken an MRI of his brain as well as performed a series of cognitive tests to establish a baseline....their advice would've been to allow his brain to "rest" for the remainder of the year and re-assess with MRI and cog tests every 6 months... i'd say if there is no further deterioration in 6 months with the swelling down he could be cleared to play next year....

One of my all time favourites. The quintessential Tiger. He plays with heart and sets the standard. When he leaves he will be missed. Good luck Fults.

If Fulton retires Pat Richards and Dean Halatau will be the last of the 2005 Premiers still playing with Wests Tigers.

Liam's health and well being is far more important, than him lining up to play for wests-tigers.

would rather see him, enjoy his life and be able to have a healthy time with his family.

so if it means, no more footy for Liam, for at least this year, maybe even next, then it's a great decision.

One of the AFL guys made a plea to Jonathan Brown to retire saying he has given enough to his club and he had nothing else to prove, I feel the same about Fulton, he has done enough.
