Rumour, Comings and Goings 2009 / 2010 season...

With so many players coming off contract on reportedly decent money we should have some room to move. However like past years we have been slow to act while other clubs are getting their act together. Its looking like we are going to end with players that aren't the exact fit.

I'd rather the club be patient with signings atm. Too many quick signings in the past have hurt us imo. If they ain't gonna add to the club or don't come cheap its probably not worth it.

shame about lewis if true, would have liked him 2 have been given a go in fg just 2 c what he clould do

Me too but I suppose I'll have to take the word of some on the forum that have seen more recent BRET - that he can be hot and cold. Anyway, I'd like to see what Moltzen/Marshall do this weekend…

Marshall/Moltzen seem to be the new combination Sheens will stick with. This combination has the best potential since the departure of Scott Prince.

did you get my PM mate, i dont know if it sent im struggling to figure it out

No good signing people for the sake of signing people. I believe Finch is in the bag, and now working on a prop.

Plenty of people on here were calling for a clean out - now it is happening. It's a good thing in my book.

Krisnan Inu released to Wests Tigers. Tigers to pay out contract. Will be a done deal within 3 weeks if Inu doesnt perform and Eels release him

I find that a bit hard to accept.

I have heard the same with the Bulldogs.

Where are these rumours coming from?

Would be a top siging. A change of clubs would do him good.

Not so much a rumour but I read in Big League last week that Titans centre Brett Delaney is looking for a club for 2010\. He was offered a 4 year deal by the Titans but wants to come back to Sydney. So far, no Sydney clubs have offered him a deal.

Delaney's manager has held discussions so far with Manly, Roosters, Souths and Wigan.

According to the article he has made more tackles than any centre this year and is a rock in defence. At 6ft 3 and 103kg, he could be handy outwide and would be cheaper than Inu.

That article contradicts itself a few times.

There are quotes saying he wants to go back to Sydney, then there a quotes saying he wants to stay on the GC.

It's only saying he wants to stay on the GC because no Sydney teams have tabled an offer yet. If he knocked back a 4 year deal I'd assume he doesn't want to settle there and truly wants to return to Sydney. He easily could've asked for a 2 year offer instead if he wanted to stay on the GC?

Better tell that to Big League. That's what it says in the article.

According to the season guide handbook thing, Payten is 198cm

I read it a little differently. It seemed like he got the new contract offer but wanted to go back to Sydney. He rejected it and now no one wants him so he is saying he wants to stay in the GC.
