He ain't 6'3", just for the record..

Better tell that to Big League. That's what it says in the article.

According to the season guide handbook thing, Payten is 198cm

Titans website says hes 185cm which is 6ft and 101kg.

Apologies for mis-informationnnn

Not your fault mate. Dodgy journos!

there are alot of players coming off contract.
wests-tigers have in previous years paid big money for some players and in return got lack lustre performances.
look and see who would best suit wests-tigers style of play, approach them, and if they decide to come to wests-tigers, do not :bulb: turn them into a backrower :unamused:

I was thinking last night i'd be quite happy to see these new faces in 2010:

- Finch (some saying it's a done deal?)
- Inu
- Ross (at the right price)
- Tupou
- Taumata

Fills in lots of gaps.

We need counselling if we think finch would be a good signing. He is overated and a spoiled brat.
Forget about spending 300k on him. Forget also about jamie simpson, brett delaney and cooper vanu ??
Tigers should be seriously pursuing george rose. This big lump of a bloke would look great along side kg in the front row. He is better imo than payten and gibbs.
If Krisnan Inu is a possibility then go for broke. Something has gone horribly wrong for this kid at parra this year. I still think he has the potential to be a superstar, another Israel Faloua.
With our own coming through like ayshford, lazarus, hanbury, lui, and the signing of tupou and taumata forget about spending money for the sake of spending. Focus diligently on Rose and Inu and i like the look of our roster for the next couple of seasons.

Krisnan Inu released to Wests Tigers. Tigers to pay out contract. Will be a done deal within 3 weeks if Inu doesnt perform and Eels release him

Where are these rumours coming from?

Would be a top siging. A change of clubs would do him good.

Did anyone hear Daniel Anderson's press conference after the loss to Titans? I only heard a snippet but he was blaming Krisnan Inu's goalkicking for the loss. Pretty poor form I reckon, doing that publicly. We have lost games because of goal kicks but I don't remember the coach highlighting that (and the kicker) for the loss. Perhaps Inu is on the outer at Parramatta…

Forward pack looks strong too...

BUT we all know that team won't be together. We can all wish though

Not so much a rumour but I read in Big League last week that Titans centre Brett Delaney is looking for a club for 2010\. He was offered a 4 year deal by the Titans but wants to come back to Sydney. So far, no Sydney clubs have offered him a deal.

Delaney's manager has held discussions so far with Manly, Roosters, Souths and Wigan.

According to the article he has made more tackles than any centre this year and is a rock in defence. At 6ft 3 and 103kg, he could be handy outwide and would be cheaper than Inu.

hmmm, the top tackling centre & weighs a bit over 100kg's. Thats exactly what D Galea was when he came here.
He could follow in D Galeas footsteps & become a Tigers prop!

Article said the Panthers looked at him but couldnt fit him under their cap so the deal's off.

Where would you play him?

I just listed all the players we're linked to in a top 17\. Couldn't fit him in with all the other players I'd added. (There's an argument for having him at half instead of Finch, or on the bench instead of Taumata, or at fullback, with Inu on the wing instead of Tupou)

Also, to reply to an earlier post; it was my choice I wouldn't put Fulton in. (Again, I put him there because I made the side to include various players we've been linked to) I'd rather save money and promote Dwyer, Mataka, Shirnack (either one), Hyland, Gower or Akeripa.

Simmonds also distanced the club from speculation axed Cronulla halfback Brett Seymour would be handed a lifeline by the Tigers.

"Probably at this stage it is not something we will pursue. We have a young lad in our `20s called Robert Lui who we think has a big future," he said.

"I wouldn't be surprised to see him go around in first grade before the end of the season and at this stage we see that as the future."

Can't see us wanting to buy Finch either.

We won't go near Finch. The club sees Lui as a long term partner outside Benji.
