Simmonds also distanced the club from speculation axed Cronulla halfback Brett Seymour would be handed a lifeline by the Tigers.

"Probably at this stage it is not something we will pursue. We have a young lad in our `20s called Robert Lui who we think has a big future," he said.

"I wouldn't be surprised to see him go around in first grade before the end of the season and at this stage we see that as the future."

Can't see us wanting to buy Finch either.

We won't go near Finch. The club sees Lui as a long term partner outside Benji.

If he dominates first grade like how he dominates NYC then we will hands-down win every premiership for the next 10 years

Are we one of the 'Sydney clubs" that are talking to Scott Logan about a one-year deal? I think he's a solid, go-forward type of prop…

How old is he now? If he can play one more year like he did last year than he's be a handy pick up.

I haven't seen much of Logan this season, but based on the few games I've seen.. Skando > Logan

the Herald website said he was 33\. And yes, Skando has been great this year and I hope he can play another year but I think we still need to pick up another no-frills style prop…

Just watched Sheens on WTV to announce two new signings for the club:

1\. Tame Tupou - Mentioned that he still has some work to do on his knee so he's mainly being looked at for 2010\. If the knee is right to go, he may get a game this season.

2\. Geoff Daniella - This is confirmed. Mentioned that he is stuck behind Jennings at Penrith and looking for a chance. Sheens mentioned he has very good speed and fits the WT style of play. Mentioned that with losing a couple of outside backs in Collis and Tagive, the Tigers needed a couple of outside backs.

That is it for now, but Sheens mentioned the club is looking at a couple of other players who will be announced shortly. No word on whether they are forwards or backs.

Anyword on how soon they will be announced? And how they officially signed or close to signing ?

Really happy to hear the comments about Lui. Relieved actually. The best half in the club outside FG imo. No doubts from here we need a prop, hopefully Burgess.

Just quickly regarding Peni Tagive, this week's RLW magazine reports that the Tigers were stunned with the offer the Dragons put forward to snare Peni. The Tigers definitely wanted to keep him, but the Dragons put forward a very large offer compared to the Tigers, so it was a money decision in the end. No idea how much they paid or what the Tigers were prepared to offer, but Peni wasn't on much at the Tigers.

It's an expensive gamble as he has only played 8 games in two seasons.

Loyalty is completely gone now isn't it.

Well to be fair to Peni, if we're talking close to 100k (or even 50k) difference in offers it's hard to stay loyal. He could just as easily be released by WT if he had have stayed on and kept getting injuries.

yeah an extra 50k , plus play in the best team in the comp, outside one of the best halves and best centres in the game, as well as the best coach going around.

Hell id do it as well.
