Rumour, Comings and Goings 2009 / 2010 season...

The funny thing is Geo is that I think Sheens has admitted his mistake by rectifying them, Perhaps he hasnt gone on WTV and apologised to Bug but John Morris is gone. There was a reason why his contract wasnt renewed.

Yeah cause Fitzy came back….

Funny though I see where Sticky is looking at Morris in the halves .....with Aiton to give them the spark from Dummy half....

I have always been a huge supporter of Tim Sheens. I love the way he transformed the club, I love the way he has brought some of our juniors along as well and I love the fast exciting brand of football we play. On the down side, some of his purchases and his team selections leaves me scratching my head.

I have always been against punting him and the main reason for that is the lack of quality coaches on the market. The thing is nothing is forever in this game and sooner or later we're going to have to get a new coach. Names like Brown, Folkes, and Murray have been thrown about and I think they're good coaches but they've had their time in the NRL. Kearney and Flanagan have had their names thrown about as well but they're untested under the pressures of NRL coaching.

The man I'd like to see replace Tim Sheens is Jason Taylor. He had an awesome run with Parramatta, did some good things with Souths and I still believe today that they made a mistake punting him and it could prove the difference for them. The thing I like about Jason Taylor is he has an excellent understanding of the game, he is highly intelligent with reading the game, he's an excellent communicator and most importantly, he's a local boy to Campbelltown. He'll know how to get the fans to dig deep into their pockets and support the club even more financially.

I would like Taylor to serve an apprenticship first. I think he was rushed into a head coaching position before he was ready. I am not sure he is as tactically inclined as I would like either.

Yeh the Fitzy decision had me scrathing my head too. I will reserve my judgment on that one until I see how he is utilised.

Ur not the only one…....I moaned about this feller for years, could not wait to see the back of him.

But.........like you I will wait and see where he plays and how he goes before I start teeing off on him or Sheensie.

I recall Simon. In fact, as I recall you were on the early ones to call him a dud. I, like many others, thought he looked decent in his first season under Lamb. I remember many fans calling for him to be picked for SOO after that season. In all fairness to us all, he did show some promise in those early games.

I think we all held our breath every time Fitzy was under bomb !! I had a sinking feeling in the gut everytime Darren Senter approached or was called out by a ref !!

He coached lower grades at Parramatta, took over from Brian Smith who had all but destroyed them and in the same year lead them into the finals. Coached for 2 years at Souths, how much more of an apprenticeship do you want him to do?

Ive stayed out of the Sheens arguments all off season, but lately the support brigade have carried on with pathetic arguments. No offence, but lets balance it out a little. Im happy to acknowledge what he's done for the club. We are all forever in debt to the guy for the way he turned the club around, but how long can he live on what he did 5 years ago?

Funny…..I find the anti Sheens arguments quite pethetic. You blokes have one argument....that is we havent made the semis in x years. When the year before that we won it.

Winning comps aside......you anti Sheens blokes are so blinkered that you cannot and will not acknowledge the drastic turnaround of our club in a pretty short amount of time.this isnt just about being competetive, which we are. This is about keeping our marquees and locking them in for ever. Its about being able to draw top shelf players to the club.

And its about respect, which we have now.

Talk of balance.....dead set open those eyes and have a look.

Mate, lets talk about balance then, how about u qoute my entire post instead of a small section. U say i dont acknowledge what he's done purely to help your argument, but u know if u qouted my entire post everyone will see that i do in fact acknwledge it a great deal. Im happy to debate things with u Simon, but dont leave things i say out to twist it in your favour.

Perhaps Chris. But 2 years under either Sheens and Bennett is what I want.

He may have resigned till 2012… but with the bears inclusion from then on dont be surprised if he leaves.. His Dad is one of the bosses at Bears HQ

Troy

What makes you so sure the Bears will be allowed into the NRL?
