Rumour - Mahe to Debut

Sure he can be rocks and diamonds in terms of attack/defence but he has certainly worked hard to get a call-up, should it happen.

Think I'll just try to focus on the positives!

If we're talking about Fonua going up against French then that means he'll be playing on MWZ's side. Isn't Nofo the one we want him to replace?

Don't really need rocks and diamonds players. If he comes in should be for Nof, both are very similar. Slow, make strong metres, can offload, suspect under high ball and get caught out in defence. Fonua has worse hands though.

Really he's a prop. Maybe he should start lining up in no 10 in ISP

We don't need more props. When we have such a beast like Fonua on our hands we should play him on the wing or in the centres. He is pretty fast also and has good finishes in the corner, just bumps off 2 guys at once and scores in the corner. He is a tackle breaking machine and just breaks the line but also has the speed to back that up.

Fonua is pretty quick in my opinion? Maybe not long-distance speed but quick enough off the mark, quicker I think laterally than Nofo?

Well let's just hope that the Tank Mark II gives it his all and has a strong game.

Wouldnt mind seeing how he goes. He is either going to be our Radradra or our Manu Vatuvei. . .

Which is the bad one?

my thoughts

I can't stop laughing at this. Who is our un-preferred Winger, Radradra, Vatuvei or Holmes?

Hmm, I don't know. Maybe we should be thinking we should forget these guys and stick with NOFO and MWZ! We are too good for them!

He's not remotely fast. Gets run down after 20-30m. As i said, he's like Nof - a guy that dives over in the corner and makes metres. He's just got an extra 20kgs on Nof. Otherwise they're extremely similar players.

A solid enough backup. Not a centre.

Mahe is powerfull but not quick he will be an asset for short runs but will not be running a great distance. We still need more pace in our backline

Fonua >>>>>>>> rankin, lulia, Richard’s mk2, milone, Lovett and all the other plonkers who have been in our backline in recent yrs

If you take out richards. He was a lot more than a winger. Could do with his goalkicking right now.
