Marty is certainly worth a bit of money now especially the way he has been playing .

We will need to really do well to retain him.

If this does happen, I hope there is some avenue of complaint about how the NRL is spending so much on helping the Gold Coast Titans, but forcing the Balmain Tigers to pay that $2 million dollar loan back.

I certainly hope this headline is trash from a trash site…....

Marty has been a very astute buy,and is now delivering on the field,it would be a deadset tradgedy if he left...however,having said that,what everyone must realise,that these days LOYALTY accounts for bugger all and MONEY speaks all languages,take it from me,this is a very short career and you must take what you can get while it's on offer..... :frowning:
 
ha I said after 4 nations he needs upgrade or a club will pay big dollars for him . I was told he only looked good against below average kangaroos pack . That's the market pay it or lose em !

Mate DCE is on 1.3 a season, Thurston is much better and would be on 1.5 if he signed a contract today.

$600k is what the very, very best forwards get. Actually outside spine players, pretty much less than 10 would earn that cash.
 
DCE is in the prime of his career though.. Thurstons like 30 something.. He will retire in 2-3 years. Still my favorite player in the game though.
