Rumour Ricky Stuart to West Tigers

If we were to get rid of Sheens, I reckon Daniel Anderson would be the go, although I wouldn't be surprised if the club had plans to have Georgallis take over in a few years.

As for Stuart, I do enjoy his passion for the game but if we want to pick a coach on passion then we could choose anyone on this forum.

Apparently brushed the Eels. Rick is perfect for Origin but way too intense for a full season of NRL

Parra appointed Chris Anderson as coaching director which i find absolutley hillarious because Anderson was out of touch with the modern game in 07\. God knows how far he'll be 5 yrs later

If he has any inkling on the modern game, he'll give Kearney the sack and recommend those who backed his signing resign.

would have him here in a hearbeat

That is simply further evidence of the knowledge deficit you suffer from having followed league for a mere 7 years - compared to many of us who have played and watched for decades!

Ricky Stuart left the only two clubs he has previously coached in tatters and was effectively sacked from both joints for under-performance!

He destroyed rosters and proved his approach simply burns players out within 12-18 months! He has also displayed a complete lack of ability to devise a viable long-term attacking structure - relying on the sort of rushing defence that leaves players busted by the time the semis arrive!

Aside from more of your change for changes sake BS - what makes Ricky suitable???

The other two clubs being linked to him have rookie coaches and are badly struggling - we by no means are desperate enough to have to resort to that hack!

As for Mal going to Canberra - not a chance - he has acknowledged that he is not a student of the game and is not suited to club coaching earlier this year.

Longevity does not necessarily = knowledge. I don't agree with him but his opinion is as valid as yours. I know people that have been involved in the game since the early sixties and you wouldn't seek their counsel willingly

When you think of R Stuart, the words reactionary, emotional, offbeat, paranoid and quirky come to mind. No thanks, don't see him being a good fit with the WT. Parra makes sense, he'd be right at home in that environment of dysfunction

If not Sheens , it has to be

Steve Folks , Peter Gentle or Jason Taylor

But I think Sheens is best

Most here said the same/similar about Utai….you just never know.

I didn't … I fully supported the big U

So you'd settle for Stuart would you Ink ?

Not my decision as we all know, but if the club went this way….I'd give him a go before judging.

You?

No mate … Not for me.

With regard to Ricky Stuart having won a Premiership with the Roosters in 2002 it was a tainted year with the Bulldogs having been exposed as the Biggest frauds in the NRL prior to the Melbourne Storm in 2010.
The Premiership winning side of the Roosters in 2002 was that good that any half decent coach would have won, not discounting the job that Daniel Anderson from the Warriors did to get them to the decider, if I had a pick for a coach from either person it would be Anderson.

there is no way of determining if sheens is doing a good job unless you have something to compare against. stuart imo is one of the best options out there and i would like to him to get a go, results assessed, then people come to conclusions.

The only one that thinks Stuart is a good coach is Stuart. He was a great player Yes but just like Mal Meninga he is not a great coach.

Tim Sheens is one of the best coach in the NRL we are lucky to have him and absolutely no doubt will be the Tigers coach until at least 2014 hopefully longer.

I don't know B&W if Mal had a good technical person with him (Like Hagan with Qld) he'd go OK

I know things didn't happen at Canberra , but I still reckon he should of gone elsewhere first as he was still too close with some of the players

Still amazes me how many coaches that Sheens has coached as players go on to become coaches themselves

Payten will become a very competent NRL coach in the future imo

Lol its funny how we always say sack our coach who is off contract thats a top coach no one and we have a top on already any team would want to sign him.

Don't forget Wally wasn't that good either. Just something about great players not making the greatest of coaches.

I agree with Payten. Looks like that's the plan Sheens to stay as director and Payten NRL coach in 2015.

A Mick Malthouse/Nathan Buckley type plan
