Rumour Ricky Stuart to West Tigers

i think he really understands farah's game, i've watched him this year and farah and him seem to have a good relationship going. also, he picked lawrence in his SOO team.. when u bring in a new coach, you want him to believe in the team and in individual players.

also, i've never watched him play, but i think he's played centre, 5/8 and lock?? so maybe he understands the backline, halves and a forward and understands what each area requires

iirc, he was pretty good at the roosters at the start, but dropped out at the end

cant argue with his passion either, he seems really passionate on tv, he can instill the attitude of giving 100% every game, as well as consistency which we have all screamed for

obviously, there must be -ves as well.. i'll leave those to you guys…

Fitler seems like a fun bloke to be around but that doesn't make him a good coach and his record at the Roosters would seem to confirm that. Besides he'd be taking a pay cut to coach us you'd think.

whatever new coach you will bring, there will always be an element of risk in it… is freddy worth the risk??

going back to what i said heaps earlier regarding core players having a new coach.. i just think they would learn the art much more better with a 5/8 regarded as high as freddy... ofc good players don't always make good coaches, but i think he is worth the risk

Yeah, No Thanks… Freddy is well liked and understands the game very well, but doesnt have the descipline or people management skills to be a Head Coach in the NRL.

Deep down Freddy is still a boy and he will do well in the Representative arena for short periods...

Fittler would be my choice for Blues coach tbh. Much like Meninga he wasn't a great club coach but I bet he'd be the best NSW coach for the job. He'd pick a proper team anyway.

our team is built imo.. just need someone to finish the job..

actually, we do need a halfback and a couple of props, but still everything else is in place

These debates really are an exercise in futility. As much as some of us think a change wouldn't be a bad thing it will never happen. Sheens has total control over the club and he will never be let go, let alone allow someone to come in in a co-ordinating type role that Stuart has been linked to in this thread. Bottom line is wether you love or hate it, you just have to accept that things won't change anytime soon, and that when he does step down as head coach, he'll most probably go into a director type role. The best we can hope for is that he picks a decent 17 week in week out. But that hasn't happened for God knows how long and i can't see him changing his selection policies anytime soon

Pick a proper team? Fitler said Hayne is the best 5/8th in Australia lol.

I doubt it will happen, but I think Stuart **would be a breath of fresh air to this team, who are so desperately in need of some fresh air.**

This really bugs me, I no we all come on this forum to express opinions such as these but how can you honestly say the team needs a breath of fresh air? you have no affiliation with the team, you are not there everyday at training so you dont no how the team interacts and what they all think of Sheens. There has never been any signs of the players not liking Sheens, so **how can you claim they are so desperate for a new coach?**

Lots of people grow stale in their jobs, it's a fact of life. I think Wests Tigers' inconsistent performances, year in, year out, speak for themselves. I'm not claiming that anyone doesn't like Sheens or whatever you reckon I said, but his seeming inability to prepare the team, mentally, and address and rectify our inconsistency after all these years, is unacceptable. However, if you're happy watching uncommitted and inept performances like the past 2 weeks, for 10-12 weeks of every season, then good for you.

By the way it's KNOW, not NO
