Negotiations are expected to conclude Tuesday when the deal will be formally announced by Wests Tigers.

Parramatta recently told Mannah, aged 31, that his future beyond this season was uncertain.

Mannah comes off contract after this year and was expected to leave Australia for the English Super League.

**But Wests Tigers entered negotiations late and look to have signed the veteran prop although there is still a possibility talks could fall over late.**

Lol that's a given!

Given the reaction... I'd say plenty will be hoping that's the case.

Mannah? He offers nothing.
We have better back up props and juniors we could blood.
This is a slap in the face. Embarrassing!

Yep it’s a slap in the face for Clark .

@gallagher
Probably means either Packer is being moved on or injured for the rest of the season

That doesn't make it any better.

Didn’t we have to fill a spot on the roster before June 30? Not what I would have picked but at the price and for the rest of the year I can live with it.

not sure what people a complaining about, at this stage it's only for the rest of the year, it's not as if our props are doing great either. He's coming here dirt cheap and this could be a swap deal for DWZ with Packer and or Mats going.

I have a feeling if this is in fact true he will sign into next year as well. It doesn’t make sense that a player who was possibly going to retire at the end of the season takes that opportunity away from himself to be known as a one club player, just to play a handful of games for another club...Fingers crossed that something else is afoot at WT HQ.

I'll respect any player that dons the guernsey, I put off judgement until after he plays for us. I'm looking at this as a filler to replace Musgrave's non NRL compliance and given Packer's non appearance- whatever is behind that- we needed another prop for rotation. He has been a good Parra player and has a good reputation compared to some of the Parra team, so I'm ok with things.

Low cost, fill in player, opportunity buy. Nothing wrong with that.

@Tigerlily I too suspect there is more news to come from WT HQ- there certainly seems to be something building............... what though, who knows?

@gallagher there is absolutely no way to see a positive in this. It’s just poor recruitment and a total waste of money. Even for us this is poor.

Tim Mannah plodder scale ... @Geo

Speed 5/5
Explosiveness 5/5
Ability 5/5
Experience / number of games 2/5
Wrongness of head 5/5

Total ....22/25
The higher the score the more effective ploddering .

Close to say this bloke pretty much invented ploddering

He is 31 not 41 guys.... He will be on the bench and wont let us down and will help with the development of the younger props... Give him a chance..
We have very limited funds and are not the Roosters

You wait until his first play the ball !

Welcome to the club Tim. I’ve seen you make plenty of yards over the years. I think you’ll go well here.

@hobbo1 Awww! Poor Hobbo 1 go cuddle your teddy!

Mate ...it’s a backward step even at 100k
And it’s a kick in the guts for players like Clark / McQueen and to a lesser extent Rochow .
