Rumour: West Tigers big signing to be announced soon.

Theres no cooling off period for an immediate transfer lol

Thats only for signings during the season where the club hasn't agreed to release a player.

Just waiting on Robbie to sign off on the Paper work and approve it

Not too far-fetched as even Woods has stated that Robbie will be coach. I recently read how Chris Sandow was given marching orders after telling the coach that they will win more playing Chris's way rather than the coaches. But then he was not a legend.

True don't know what I was thinking lol

Assuming the player rumoured to be signed is Grant, Isn't it a bit of a stretch, that He would be considered a "big signing?"
He's hardly set the world on fire since his good showing in SOO years ago .
I'd have more faith that at least one of the Ipswich Recruits will have a good year, rather than Grant. ( if he does come, I hope I'm wrong)

I have seen a few other people say it too, it's okay haha

His metres per game was pretty good last year considering the minutes he was playing.

Its a big singing for us. He is an ex SOO prop and we appear to be lacking props for next season. I think he is also youngish.

I reckon he is the exact signing that we need.

Grant will add to the depth of the club but not what I would consider a big signing. I am with Steve tiger in that I see both the Ipswich boys as good signings that might surprise. I have watched a few Q Cup games this year and with a good off season and commitment they will serve us well in 2016 onwards. Like what I see of the Rugby bloke that has signed with us also.

If the rumours about Tim Grant signing with us are true, how's this for a pack

Woods
Farah
Sue
Griffen
Lawrence
Edwards
\
\
Ava
Grant
Sironen
Cherrington

No place for Halatau at this stage, I think Chee Kam will be in the centres
\

Some players will be disappointed, that's what happens when you have depth, Parahi needs a couple of games in NSW Cup to re adapt to 13 man game, McConnahie lagging in fitness at this stage apparently, seriously importantly to win a couple of games early

We need some grunt in the forwards and Grant would be welcome. I think he would start and Sue who is going to be a beast dominate at lock. I would start with a froward pack of

Woods
Farah
Grant
Lawrence
Sironen
Sue

Bench:
Ava
Edwards
Cherrington
Halatau

I like that pack TYGA. We really need another prop and hopefully Grant will sign with us and then hopefully he kills it.

Our pack with or without Grant though is really going to need massive improvement. Potentially they could be really good but we basically need every starting player to improve excluding Woods. Ava, Halatau and Cherrington on the bench will go really good.

Unless the Rabbitohs are paying most of Grants contract, I'm really not feeling this potential Grant signing. He's done bugger all for years. Although there's not much out there off contract or perhaps looking to be moved on so I understand why he's a target for us.

I know we're in dire need of a big body with some experience to shadow these young guys in and Grant has always been known to be a very good trainer but I just don't see what Grant has that Galloway didn't. So again unless Souths are paying the majority what's the point?

Grant on a long term deal could be a disaster.

Sure, Grant has a bit of agro and his stats are ok, but he isn't the same guy who knocked Petero over once.

I'm probably gunna get hammered for this but I reckon throw Mason a lifeline on a one year deal. IMO he'd bring a lot more to the table. We pay diddly squat to get him, he's done more than Grant ever did, he's got a personality so we'd see the players smiling for once, plenty of mongrel and realistically hasn't been in bad form over the
last few years. Then reassess with more money in the bank when players are off contract next year….KLEMMER anyone?

Mason really isn't as bad of a bloke as many make him out to be and I think we made a mistake not signing him a few years back.

Mason is well past it and won't be suited to the game with less interchanges.

I wouldnt be agaainst mason, as tigertye said, hes no hellraiser…he has a bad rep .
He commands respect among his team mates, is good for team morale...never have I seen a new player walk into a club like he did at newcastle and have every team mate surround him on the field hanging off his every word...hes a leader

I think Mason and Farah running around the paddock together would be a strong combo - old legs but good heart still proving a point against the youngsters.

Mason is a has been ..time for all to be realistic if you want to start winning signing players that are at the end of it has to stop ..rather put money towards young unknown hungry types, and I would be very apprehensive in signing any other players that Ayoub has anything to do with !
