Rumours

The Billy Slater article came from the LU forum and the original link was to a Youtube video not a SMH article, it is just a made up article from a LU poster, though the Tele will probably have it a true rumour within a few days
 
Yeah sorry, That was clearly Chinese whispers gone bad. A dragons supporter sent me that and I put it on here. I only just clicked on the link that i got and it sent me to a Hanson mmmmbop song. Not sure why it is now going to a broken link?? Anyway my mate got more than he wanted, not only did i write an angry email back to him regarding where i think he should go digging for more rumors but also made a tool of myself on here.. Sorry guys my bad, feel free to throw all your abuse this way!!

WAS Souths' desperate search for a halfback sealed over a milkshake at Cafe Zigolini's this week?
Souths Sydney Rabbitohs chief executive Shane Richardson met New Zealand Warriors star James Maloney and his manager Wayne Beavis at the Woollahra establishment on Monday afternoon.

No one ate, Maloney opting instead to have two milkshakes.

Souths are one of seven clubs to show interest in Maloney, who will play with the New Zealand Warriors next year before becoming a free agent in 2013.

The Rabbitohs appear to be favourites to sign Maloney, who has emerged from fringe first grader to one of the game's top-tier players.

Souths will start next season with young Adam Reynolds at halfback alongside John Sutton after Chris Sandow walked away and signed with rivals Parramatta.

Maloney would give Souths creativity and he can also kick goals.

"We had a meeting with James Maloney," Richardson said. "We were, of course, talking about 2013.

"There are several clubs looking at him and we'd like to think we are one. He is a good kid who can play six or seven, so he gives you a lot of options.

"We'll just have to wait and see what happens."

Maloney was a key player in the Warriors' charge to this year's NRL grand final against Manly.

Souths are continuing to settle in under new coach Michael Maguire.

Im just glad im a Wests supporter.
How hard must it be following the Bunnies ,always promising but NEVER delivering.
AdamReynolds first pick halfback,then clutching at straws for a guy who had 1 good year with the big Warriors forwards in front of him.

No offence 1/4 Chicken, but I've been following The Magpies and now Weststigers for over 35 yrs and believe me it ain't been easy.
Here's hoping from now on in, we can be more consistent and 2012 is our year.

Seeing his interview on the Footy Show was supposedly aimed mainly at the Tigers and management when he signed for the Cowboys ,I see there being more chance that Johnathan Thurston signs with us than Little Willie Mason

Oh God, I hope not! Over the hill and way too much trouble. I really don't think he would be a good fit with the Tigers' culture.
 
Willy? Nah!!!!

Where would we put him? And he probably wants a big $$ contract because apparently he is a star player (just ask him).
