RYAN CROSS

he's a big lad now too, when he played rugby league he wasn't as big as he is now.

Interesting

Yeah….my son pointed him out to me a few weeks back on TV....he's massive now.
Really shocked me.

This is the sort of signing we come to expect....either nearing the end or injury history

It's both isn't it, with regards to Cross.

I have a feeling he could be an option for a back up wing in the same way Utai has been this year. A cheap experinced first grader who is great under the high ball, has enough speed still and has really become a lot stronger during his days in union. With Mitch brown and Utai unsigned for next year at this stage and both would be expecting upgrades to resign especially utai - it might be the smart move cap wise to move Utai on - although I will deifnatly miss him - he was great value at minimum but upgraded may be too costly

So we're going to sign Ryan Cross - seriously??? Yes, let's get rid of half the team and put some of our older guys out to pasture, so we can free up space for a 32 yo crock. :crazy

pointless signing if we do . Its simple we need a fullback, prop, or someone who can kick goals.

Well we all bagged the club for signing Utai and he was outstanding until being injured, most of the players that went to Yawnion and then returned to The Greatest Game Of All have been pretty solid so who's to say that Ryan won't turn out to be a good buy as well, pity it didn't happen 15 years ago though!.

I mentioned in the forum a couple of weeks back that Ryan Cross was in the corporate lounge at leichhardt watching the game against newcastle, I reckon it could happen still looks fit and we could do with his professionalism with the younger boys.

Ryan Cross heading to tiger town ! But is he going to just feel in the full back role for 1 or 2 years for a jnr from Cubs ??

Isnt there supposed to be more Money in Union, especially if you are playing for a minnow franchise??

Not interested, he is turning 32 this year, hasn't played Rugby League for 6 years and I'm not sure where he would provide value to the team. If he was to return, I'm assuming if he would play centre, I'd take Ayshford, Lawrence and Daniella over Cross any day and would go as far to say Cross was not as good as any of those players even at his peak.
