This guy is going to terrorise us, his agility and speed is something we don't handle.
Jerome Hughes won't see the no1 Storm jersey again.

Another one that got off the hook, its not that we let them go it's just other clubs are more attractive so this is going to continue to happen until we become successful.

Thanks for the positive post. Maybe you are right but if you are we could always consider recruiting him back.

Sorry if you feel the truth isn't positive.
Who in their right mind would leave the Storm and come to the Tigers!

It would have been nice to still have Addo Carr and him, but it seems speed doesn't seem to want to stay at the Tigers.

Adam Blair who was rated the best backrower in the comp.

If Tedesco hadn't mucked us around so much we would probably have re-signed him

Just remember he is in the Melbourne system ...he will know his role to a T

Us and how many other clubs?

According to another forum member, we offered more to keep him, but he thought he would be stuck behind Teddy for years. It wasn't so much of the club not rating him, he left for opportunity, where better than a club like Melbourne where Slater was a year or two away from retirement and the added bonus of regularly featuring in the finals.

All the more reason to have a hate on for Tedesco.

But that doesn't fit the we suck mantra...you know over and over again..

I think everyone needs to calm down a bit. He’s played one good game when he came on with his team up by 26 points. Let’s wait and see if he can produce it consistently before we go all chicken little.

I know there is a lots to complain about with this club, but when you have absolutely nothing positive to say, ever, why bother supporting them. There can't be much enjoyment in that.

Even if he does go on with it, what more was the club supposed to do?

There's quite a bit of revisionist history going on the forum atm. Yesterday someone claimed the club let Moses go because they were too busy focusing on Brooks. Outright lies.

@Cultured_Bogan well it's quiet possible there was nothing we could do but who knows?

We do have a bit of history of letting good junior players slip but if you look at Penrith, Parra and most clubs that actually develop juniors they all miss a good one here and there.

He was stuck behind a generational talent. I'm sure if he or the club knew that Tedesco was going to walk out he would have stayed.

This is from nrl.com article.

"They came back and matched the offer," Papenhuyzen says of the Tigers.

"But it was a bit of a no-brainer to come down to Melbourne and stay here.

"At the time [James] Tedesco was staying, and staying long term. So the best thing for my footy was going to be to go down to Melbourne, learn behind Billy and be around the club itself.

"That was my decision, I can't say I regret anything and I've learned so much from Billy, probably more this year than last year with him now coaching us.

"My decision was based on Melbourne making me be the player I want to be."

Just one of those situations where we had to choose between a star first grader and a kid with promise. I don't blame Ryan for going, I just don't think there was much the club could have done there.

NRL 360 were giving us bit of stick about how we have let players walk out the door, like Ryan,JAC and Koro. The bottom line we had to make business decisions based on our cap and our roster. Okay the Fox was bungled and the club don’t hide from it but we don’t have money trees and a expandable cap like other clubs and we have to pay over the odds to attract players so our cap doesn’t go a far as other clubs.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing

Beau Ryan? Lol

Would of been silly of him not to go to Melbourne considering we had Tedesco. Good thing is there doesn't appear to be any burnt bridges.

Good luck to him after tonight.
