I never belittled you though mate….that's the difference....just put forward a different argument. You think putting Lulia in for Hoeter or Milone would have changed our season?

Sorry if thats how it come across, i was just hitting back at you just completely ignoring Fine and Luilia as being a little more suitable as fill ins than the ones used.

As for them making a difference, i seriously doubt it would be a noticeable difference on the ladder. We may however have held structure and been a little more competitive with the two of them in the team.

I get itthough, Taylor is in his first year at a new club, is trying to change culture, has salary cap concerns hanging over his selections and wants more than anything to stamp his mark on the club.

Im fairly confident given a couple of years we will all look back and see that the use of Lovett, Santi, Malone and Hoeter used as a centre were part of the teething issues Taylor had in his first year.

Given the same time frame Lulia will be long gone but Fine will be damn solid first grader. Hopefully with our club.

I have made this point previously. We know your point of view on Taylor….don't hijack every thread into a debate about the merits Taylor's coaching. Some on here, like me, thinks he needs more time and deserves the benefit of the doubt (we do not know the depth of the issues he inherited). It's ok to have a different point of view. Poor bloke in another thread spent some time doing detailed analysis which I thought demonstrated that as a club we have improved defensively.....which you also dismissed out of hand as being quasi support of Taylor.

I must admit during this season I had my doubts about JT's ability as a coach, but credit where it's due , he has balls, he has kept a positive face during a disappointing season, his team can play, a team of kids, his recruitment under difficult circumstances shows he is thinking about the clubs future first, not tying us to 5 year deals etc and picking players with the right abilities for 1 year deals so they have to perform or else .
Myself I am cautiously optimistic re the future, hope everyone else is too

Taylor inheritated a mess, no two ways about it, He lost Thompson, Fulton, Gavet, Anasta, Patterson & probably more. I think down the track he will do a good job, You must admit he has Balls as he sticks up for what he thinks is right.

People believed that the earth was flat, others believed that the sun orbited around the earth. We know different now.

The one positive out if all this, is that we will know if JT's beliefs are right - a lot quicker.

cq,love the parody, however I believe there will be great things happening for this club and the team in the not so distant future…
Once the huge mess that has held us back for years is cleaned up completely we will be a force to reckon with...I have my beliefs, and if someone told me the earth was flat,I would want to know who fell off the edge first and back it up with evidence, before I would make an assumption....if you are a believer there is always the old adage" have faith my people" together we can overcome all hardship before us.....

Ive tried to be reasonable with you but obviously this isnt about the original discussion. I gave you the benefit of the doubt as to your intent ,explained where i was coming from, even apologised but no you just chose to ignore all that and be difficult for the sake of being difficult.

The fact that you have completely missed how reasonable i have been in this discussion tells me everything i need to know about you.

Lesson learnt.

Taylor is a developing coach with a developing team.

For the most part he is playing the best players available and trying to build through hard work.
Every coach has some players you shake your head at and wonder why they keep selecting them i.e: Lovett, Hoeter, Santi, Bucchanon. If you look at our replacements, arguably players with superior talent would be: Seve, Liolevave, Akouala, Funaki. The issue we have is these players are very young and he may be trying to protect them or simply doesn't rate them. Eitehr way whatever, lines he has chosen the outcome would be the same.

I can get behind this comment. Its obvious to me at least that Taylor is learning on the fly. He has come up with some terrible game plans this year however that is probably to be expected. I think we just have to hope that he learns from this and improves.

Another dinosaur Magpie fan eh?

Agree with Snake … JT is not coach .. never has been, never will be ... he has dragged these great players down to wooden spoon level .. why the hell WT signed him is beyond me, and so many ex-fans and probably the sponsors .. going cheap maybe .. Bring on Toovey for us ... he is a coach .. what credentials does JT have? .. never taken a team to top 8 .. i dont think he lasted a full term with the couple of teams he tried to coach ... (could be wrong though) .. seriously, he has to go!!

Took Parramatta as a caretaker Coach after taking over from Smith to the Top 8 and Souff's into the Top 8 first time after their re-admission into RL…
