Every week he sits on his hands and lets our coaching farce continue, he’s no better than Pascoe. What is it about this organistation that no matter your record or how intelligent you are, the moment you step through the doors here, you turn into Patrick from Sponge Bob.
He might not care but that’s not gonna stop potential candidates from considering joining us in any role when they can’t give a plan a proper chance before deeming it a failure. The media won’t do us any favours in that regard the first thing they’ll write is how we have not changed despite different people in the organisation if we’re doing the same thing over and over again.

Don't think anyone can expect a turnaround..but what we wanna see is some green shoots in key areas like player development..cohesion..commitment..sufficient to provide some hope for the future

This seasons spoon debacle will be a positive in that it shines the spotlight directly on the coach ..who shld never have been appointed in the first place

Most coaches these days will not discuss/accept a job until the incumbent coach has first been sacked. They don’t want to be held responsible for getting a fellow coach sacked. You basically need to sack the coach first and then start talking/interviewing replacements.
They’ll be some pressure on Benji winning another spoon never said he was pressure free, but also sacking him after one season isn’t going to show anyone the club wants to change if we’re sacking another coach in a very short period. Most coaches have at least 2-3 years before making the call, we’ve lately only been giving them 1.

Most coaches have relatively short careers. There is not a proven option out there.
Arthur has a 50% win record. Made the finals 4 of 10 years at parramatta.
His reluctance to bring through young players likely damaged results this year and cost them players.
Talagi & Sanders both leaving through lack of opportunity, but Sanders hardly got a game with Moses out for 10 weeks.
There is no easy answer & I don’t know what is wrong. John Morris was considered a good signing based on previous results, but he has made no difference.
At this stage replacement coaches will likely be along the lines of Hannay Young or another rookie

Think most of the nrl world..starting with Benji himself..realise his appointment was a giant mistake from the get go
Need to get on a better and more credible path asap..think ppl will understand.

I think there is context around sacking Benji. Firstly he was not qualified for the job. Not even close. Secondly he was appointed by a previous administration. It’s not as bad sacking Benji as a “normal” sacking would be. Richo also has 4 years to go on his contract. A new coach would, I am sure, prefer to align the length of his contract with Richo’s. If Richo picks the next coach he will have to stick with him.
I do agree it’s not an attractive job though.

There really isn’t that much context when you look in depth at it. Not many people will say he wasn’t qualified when he only had the job for one year and didn’t have a proper chance to turn things around when most club coaches these days are given 2-3 seasons before getting the boot. While he was hired under a different admin, if the current admin does the same move of the previous one by sacking another coach in a short period then there’s no change from the admin point of view despite the new people running it. Any potential candidates he interviews should Benji be sacked after this season is finished all they have to do is look at how long the previous coach had the job for and knowing they only had it for one year is enough for them to not take the position should they be offered it. Or they most likely won’t even apply knowing they have only one year to get the club finals bound otherwise they are sacked.
