Sack Sheens Thread

I still don't get the logic behind sacking sheens.
In 2009, maybe I would have. He hadn't made the finals 4 years in a row. But last year and the year before, the tigers were serious contenders. Why sack him now ? This year, the season was awful, but we had to start shifting key positions from round 1 and after that Siro went down and Robbie was struck with personal tragedy. I mean how can you overlook this ? How did the storm go without Slater ? 5/6 lost !!!
Moreover, this year, before playing the doggies, sheens said he had found holes in their armour that he knew how to exploit. And he delivered, even the refs admitted that we had won that by 12\. Sheens was the first in a long streek to understand how to take down the doggies. No bad ref decisions means we enter the finals with Robbie (who was injured during golden point) and with the knowledge that we beat the favourites. But the refs messed up and now you guys are blaming Sheens ??? Just look at the players he has coached. Robbie was the star in Origin this year. Guess what, sheens was the one who coached him and believed in him even when stuart didnt. He is the Aussie coach, one of the most respected coaches and you guys wanna ditch him ? Yeah we didnt make it this year (personnally I put it down to unlucky injuries and too much hype around the players in preseason) but I love the way the tigers play, dangerous from anywhere. No wrestling, no grubber tactics. It was a bad year. Get over it ! We had 2 really good years before and we'll have good years ahead.
And whats even worse is people whining about the clubs lack of heart when we sack players like Ryan and the Rhino but then turn around and say "Sack Sheens" with no sound proof that he has actually gone stale ?

Whoa whoa whoa, sensible, balanced well thought out remarks will get you no where. Now go away and think about your behavior, read the Telegraph, then come back and post a reactionary myopic view that people can understand. Not sack Sheens?, what were you thinking.

I'm not saying Sheens can't coach , but he has lost the players and we can't afford to lose players like Farah and the like to appease the coach

A coach is nothing without the players

I agree. But which players are we talking about ? I thought Marshall and Farah were close to Sheens and wanted him to stay. Between the manager-prepped media speeches and near lies in the press I dont know who really stands on which side. Moreover, Lote says that they have no idea who's been making the calls between Sheens and Humphreys so, again, why are we pulling the trigger on Sheens ?

Well Pro Sheens Marshall ,Lawrence ,Moltzen ,Lote,Blair guaranteed

Anti Sheens Farah,Fulton,Ayshford,

Can't speak for the others

Lote knows exactly who pulls the trigger , its the same at any club Its the CEO

The big point is who loads the gun , and that is Sheens

As previously said coaches live and die off their on field cattle , so they make the calls on who is hired and fired

Then it is up to Warren Mac to get him that player or a similiar style and ability player

Obviously all are involved in negotiations , but that basically sums it up

I joked about it a few days ago , but Elias brought the story up about Ricky for some reason no doubt

I guess it is a long shot Poppa , but anything could of happened

I still have this feeling that the Warriors contract could of happened , and Sheens was just trying to buy time

Gotta laugh at forum members wannabe journos with all the scoops….christ, get a life.

Also gotta laugh at people endorsing Fitzy when not too long ago only Hasler or Bellamy would suffice

An 11th hour reprieve?
Or maybe they were impressed with the plans for the new gym set up

Sheens has either accepted a negotiated pay-out, joined the Warriors, or the board need more time to examine their position.
