Sack Sheens Thread

Make up their mind. Do it tonight or set a date for next week.

This week should be about our Grand Final squads

If hes agreed to it all theres really no need for a meeting, could just be a statement from the club giving us the low down

I still don't get the logic behind sacking sheens.
In 2009, maybe I would have. He hadn't made the finals 4 years in a row. But last year and the year before, the tigers were serious contenders. Why sack him now ? This year, the season was awful, but we had to start shifting key positions from round 1 and after that Siro went down and Robbie was struck with personal tragedy. I mean how can you overlook this ? How did the storm go without Slater ? 5/6 lost !!!
Moreover, this year, before playing the doggies, sheens said he had found holes in their armour that he knew how to exploit. And he delivered, even the refs admitted that we had won that by 12\. Sheens was the first in a long streek to understand how to take down the doggies. No bad ref decisions means we enter the finals with Robbie (who was injured during golden point) and with the knowledge that we beat the favourites. But the refs messed up and now you guys are blaming Sheens ??? Just look at the players he has coached. Robbie was the star in Origin this year. Guess what, sheens was the one who coached him and believed in him even when stuart didnt. He is the Aussie coach, one of the most respected coaches and you guys wanna ditch him ? Yeah we didnt make it this year (personnally I put it down to unlucky injuries and too much hype around the players in preseason) but I love the way the tigers play, dangerous from anywhere. No wrestling, no grubber tactics. It was a bad year. Get over it ! We had 2 really good years before and we'll have good years ahead.
And whats even worse is people whining about the clubs lack of heart when we sack players like Ryan and the Rhino but then turn around and say "Sack Sheens" with no sound proof that he has actually gone stale ?

100% be careful this kind of logic would have you burned at the stake 100 yrs ago

Just announced on 2UE sports tonight that it will soon be announced that Tim Sheens is gone and Matt Parrish is new coach. Apparently the meeting was cancelled due to this being sorted out. who knows

That's aweful news if true.

Tigers need a coach that commands respect in order to turn around the mates club into a professional outfit. I can't see that being Parrish. Argh  Please be Brown, please.

They want to finish the reviews of ALL personell….crossing Ts dotting Is....review began yesterday, continued today and will again continue tomorrow....maybe late this week the news will be official

Hilarious, how amateur, call a meeting then decide to conduct reviews, then call another meeting to announce what the reviews have found, before those reviews even commence....only to cancel 2nd meeting because reviews incomplete.

Professional>?

Not claiming a scoop. I know that's sometimes frowned upon, but this is what I know. The players ALL want Nathan Brown, they have heard bad reports on Parish and his people skills or lack of. As of the weekend the club and Nathan had made no dialogue but that was to change today.
