Abbey is only on a train/trial contract so would that make him a top 30 player?

You're right, I doubt he is as we stand but I just included him under the assumption that all progresses well just to illustrate where we may be
Might be a bit of wishful thinking on my part as I like him especially on a minimum deal

Abbey won't be signed as an NRL squad member unless he's our 29th or 30th player, and announced mid way through the season. He won't even resume full training sessions until February, then needs to prove his fitness and form in CC in order to get promoted ahead of a youngster who's fit and firing.

Sadly, I can tell you as fact... Jennings is on $350k

Crikey, back to the drawing board, someone else must be on less otherwise 2019 wouldn't have worked out under the cap
So an extra $125k?

I had Garner at $200k and Huth at $300k which felt top end so it'll probably come mainly from there

That’s what this list is missing ..... most contracts include TPAs which are not included in the cap figure.

Yeah too hard to consider those and not sure ours are big game changers

We remain sweating on McQueen and Reynolds exploring other offers. Rumours only that an ESL club has made an offer to McQueen, and that Reynolds has been looking. One would assume some progress on either or both soon enough if full squad training commences end of December(?)

@Curly_Tiger
The great unknown but most contracts are topped up and accuracy when you assess things depends on whether TPA figure is included or not in what is reported.
Of course when contract is offered by the club it’s clean of TPAs which (Should be) and are at arms length from the club dealings.

Just checking @tiga4eva how do you know it's $350k?
Thanks mate

ESL would do Mcqueen wonders

it is the best possible move for him

True momo but given we are trying to tie it back to the cap I leave them out. For example, I'd assume Benj does well on those and it's maybe a sweetener for his lower base deal, but who knows for sure

Former player told me. We happened to be sitting next to each other at a game this season

Waste of time were all guessing... Good effort tho OP

True, but there's a logic there so I'd say it's more an estimate or an educated guess
Given we're in a fan forum, which is a distraction built off a distraction, I'd say most of what goes on in here probably sails pretty close to the "waste of time" wind
