Would have been good if Milford was playing. But the King of self interest put a stop to that. Samoa look the stronger team on paper.

That's a pretty good Samoan team. They could maybe beat the poms on their day.
Unlike a certain coach, I like seeing the boys play for their country. Change of scene, learn some new things, have to step up to be a team leader etc.

It's always great to watch a game where the players actually have pride playing for their country and it shows in their performances.
There needs to be a world rugby league organisation who has right to oversee and overrule any domestic complications in regard to international league. This doesn't exist as yet. Clubs and state sides should have absolutely nothing to do with international selections.
All players selected for international footy must be allowed to play. If someone like Bennett refuses certain players than he should be forced to either deny all his players from playing international or be forced to allow all of them to play. See how long players stay with him if he stops them playing for NZ/Australia! You can't discriminate..!

Once upon a time Tonga had the wood on Samoa but the wheel has certainly turned recently.
