I haven't made up my mind about sonny yet but i dislike the term "gifted athlete"
It's like god gave them the talent which is untrue IMO. Most of these so called gifted players get into sports from a very young age and train very hard from a young age to earn the talent. Gifted is a bad choice of word IMO.

"Natural talent"
Some kids just have 'it'….some dont go on with it, others learn it, develop it
Plenty of kids start young and play for years and stay 'amateur/park/casual' sportspeople
@Sabre said:For those using words such as "respect, gratitude and professionalism" to describe SBW in 2013 could you please back this up with why you believe this to be so?
I feel that his treatment of selection in the NZ squad and timing of his decision about what to do in 2014 both go against this.
@wtigers said:He's pretty good at putting the whole 'I'm so grateful for my opportunities' thing on for the camera. He certainly doesn't come off as egotistical in interviews or anything, but his actions beg to differ.
In all honesty, I couldn't care less about what his personality was like. He's a footballer, not someone I know in real life. As long as he doesn't commit any crimes, he can be the biggest tool in the world for all I care

@Tiger Watto said:This irks me… I'm not interested in the SBW Show/Drama, but if the rumours are true he is on Channel Nines books for $700k, and Roosters for only $200/220k of there Salary Cap, how can this be approved by the NRL?
Isn't Gyngell a director of the Roosters Leagues Club at Bondi?

SBW is a decent player but the hype regarding his performances in the NRL this season are way overblown. He had a dog of a game in the 1st half of the GF…then made a break and threw a pass that was forward by at least a metre that lead to a try and all of a sudden he is an Immortal in the making. FFS.
Let's all hope that Blake Ferguson follows in the well worn footsteps of Khoder Nasser's troupe of overhyped, over-ego'd wallopers.
Praise be to Allan!

Talent doesnt earn respect.
You can acknowledge talent….respect is earnt.
