Very disappointing. When Wests hit the lead I thought we were a chance but they let in that soft try outwide when the Bulldogs player dummyed and it was downhill from there onwards. :frowning: I really wanted to see Skando win the comp with Wests Magpies. He turns 35 next year. I would love to see him go around 1 more year (for Wests Magpies only) and win a comp with Wests Magpies.

just got back from leichhardt, disappointing day for both teams as they bowed out of the competition. Wests were arguably better than balmain today but the bulldogs speed around the ruck and ability to offload in tackles hurt wests. Wests ran out a sizeable forward pack today with skando playing along with moors in the backrow. Moors looks like he needs knee surgery, he really had a lot of strapping on his left knee and struggled to move freely on occasions, but still had some good touches. Rhys pritchard tried hard for wests and nu akeripa was dangerous, making several clean breaks. Skando got through plenty of work too.

As for balmain, they looked sharp early but once again windsor slowly took control of the match and really dominated the ruck as they lay all over balmain in defence. Having said that, balmain didn't throw much at them in attack with lazarus and nicholls not stamping themselves in the game. Lazarus took aim at crouching tiger with a couple of penalty kicks, narrowly missing him on both occasions, but he did bring cts powerade to the ground in spectacular style. Sean meaney had an unhappy arvo with several errors too. David gower was once again strong. Disappointing result in the end for balmain, they were certainly capable of playing better than what they did today and now, along with wests, they'll have to wait for next year.

will there be a next year for these two sides.

Nice to see Arana there supporting the lads.

Not to mention the fact that he'll be a Panther next season and most likely playing for Windsor who beat Balmain yesterday.

The Bulldogs supporters are definitely the worst in the NRL. As you say, they're definitely messed up in the head.

Daine Laurie walking around in thongs smoking what appeared to be a very 1969's inspired cigarette. Real class act
