Thats Easy… If Mark Murray didnt injure his eye, it would of been Peter [Sterling] Who?

Good Point though… Tommy and Mark were both pretty bullish Halfbacks.

Just think Watto under current SOO rules Sterlo would of played for us

If that had been the case NSW wouldn't have won a series until about 1990

So Queensland would have had one Qlder in it's team then!

Not true, Sterlo moved to NSW way before he was 12 years old, as is the current SOO Rules.

Although if you want to go down that road NSW can claim Folau/Thaiday/Inglis/Crocker etc.

IMO Cronk has really been massaged and worked into what he is today. Still a very good 7 but not what you would call a "genuine halfback" in the context of talking about Prince etc.

Cronk spent quite a few years simply being adequate for the huge stars playing around him.

How is he not a genuine half, he is a textbook half!

When they teach kids to be a half they try teach them to play exactly like cooper. Organise the game, ball play, kick and take the line on from time to time.

Id love those saying he is not a half to explain why

Didn't I just say he was a good 7?

You also said he wasn't a genuine half, as did others, i reckon he is a classic half.

He has always been amazing and has had star factor stamped all over hin since he was a teen.

One of my faves

I have to disagree, I think he spent many years as nothing special. Its a testament to his work eithic to see how far he has come.

Record books don't show that though.

He has worked hard but never forget just how far Storm were over the cap all those years. Good players can be made to look great with an extra million dollars worth of talent around them.
