SES staff ...a big thank you...

May I just say that during this horrible week of havoc..we have lost some people sadly…

The SES workers,men and women who devote their time to search and rescue for the benefit of our communities...A BIG THANK YOU..your work in saving lives and helping the people that need it most is greatly appreciated by us all,I hope I speak for my forum members as well..

You are honourable people that sacrifice many hours of your time and lives so others may have and enjoy theirs....the respect I have for you knows no bounds,keep up the good work we need your services very much,during good times and bad....
 
Theyre champions…terrific community minded heroes..well done to all, and those paid emergency workers as well.

I saw a couple of young coppers doing traffic with lights out in a terrible intersection in parra yesterday, ...felt sorry for them

im so sorry to hear this TT.

i highly commend everyone who pitches in in times of need like SES workers/volunteers.

in the brooks/moses thread i wrote a seemingly random post about the great weather we have been having here in perth - completely unaware of what sydney has been experiencing.

i have written a post that is an apology to anyone who read it and may have been upset by it.

my best wishes to you all.
 
Turny,thanks for the apology although it wasnt necessary,we know you are a great person and certainly wouldn't want to wish harm or loss on anyone…

This has been a horrendous weather occurrence and has caught many off guard with its severity....cheers Turny....
 
SES and the Rural fire fighters deserve all the accolades they get

People who are prepared to risk life and limb for no pay to help their fellow community members in there time of need

And all the while when there belonging and families could be at risk

One of my sisters in the lakes area had two trees come down, before they came out and hastily tethered another big one that was weakened and set to take out the neighbors, rather than just cars and fences like the first two.

No power or water for a few days and a street littered with downed trees and branches, but her and my nephews are unharmed, so she is happy and grateful for their assistance
 
Most of my family and friends are on the Central Coast. I'm told the work that they have done up there and the hours they have put in has been nothing short of amazing.

I watched them work in driving rain a few weeks ago and dismantle a huge tree at a neighbours place that had partially fallen on their house in a storm. Incredible people.
 
It's the Aussie spirit, When ever someone needs help there is always someone who is willing to help. Best Country in the World!
