Seven players return to full training

It was a case of more the merrier when the Wests Tigers NRL squad took to the training field at Concord Oval today.

In a positive sign in the lead in to next month’s trial matches, seven players returned from the rehab squad for their first full training session under NRL Coach Mick Potter.

The most notable player was giant prop Keith Galloway following off-season surgery to correct a toe injury.

Other players to return from the rehab squad were forwards Ava Seumanufagai (foot), Bodene Thompson (shoulder), Mosese Fotuiaka (knee), Sauaso Sue (hamstring), Shaun Spence (hamstring) and exciting young full-back James Tedesco.

Potter was pleased with what he saw from Galloway.

“You could tell straight away just how much the boys were glad to have Keith back out there,’’ Potter said.

“It was just a case of business as usual for him. He knew he had to get the team moving forward.”

We need to find out why we a getting so many injuries? Is it in the training, gym work, diets etc…..(Maybe it was the Gym Layout). If you look at the top teams, they have top science people looking after these issues, along with state of the art facilities and Hyperbaric Chanbers. I know this stuff is expensive, but you want to play with the big boys, you gotta be competative.

judging from what potter said in the article we can safely assume a front row in round 1 consisting of Galloway, Farah, Woods and Anasta at lock. 2 places up for grabs in the backrow. I wonder whats going through Fultons head right now. Fulton wont let you down, we all know that. Which other player is more deserving of a place in tbe 2nd row than Fulton?

Sounds like a promising interchange bench in 2013\. It might even include Fulton.

Based on last years form under Sheens yes it may be.

But new year, new coach, new chance to prove themselves

i think fulton may play from the bench with Bell , Blair , Anasta , Keith , Robbie , Woods ,Miller starting

BENCH , Fulton , Bmm , Pettybourne , ??

but could be way of the mark , new coach maybe some suprises

If Adam Blair gets a starting spot in front of Fulton in Round 1 it's going to be long year.

Disagree. Im a Fulton Fan >> He is an honest toiler, Blair had a year to forget for whatever reason.

When both fit and on form Blair would start in 99.9% of NRL followers teams.

I am expecting Massive things to match the massive price tag from Blair this year

Anasta will be in the back row, but not necessarily lock, I expect him to play left edge, with Blair in the middle at lock, altho Fulton would be good at the defensive part of this role, he is not a strong enough ball runner to play that role in attack. RIght edge is up for grabs I guess, Fulton could get that job, leaving us a bit light on with our edge runners, that said, Anasta and Fulton both run good lines and have good skills, might create different sort of dramas on the edge for the opposition. The other option for right edge is a bigger ball runner, maybe BMM or Pettybourne. As you say, Fulton could be unlucky and miss out, but as we all know, very rarely is everyone available, he will get plenty of football this year.
