Seyfarth

Can't believe I wrote him off just a few weeks ago, really never saw much upside in him.

Biggest surprise of the season.

Really enjoying watching him now. We were clearly a better side with him on the field last night IMO.

I remember a few weeks ago, The Pom said that the club were trying to re-sign him and that Madge was a big fan. I was like “really? 🤦‍♂️“

I don’t blame you. He had Kyle Lovet/Jack Buchanan/Brendan Santi vibes. The difference is that those other 3 didn’t improve at all in 50 games (or whatever they played) while Seyfarth has added several elements to his game and hits hard. Great to see and hard not to like a bloke like him who works so hard.

I thought he was very average and that Madge only loved him because he trained hard. Seems the hard training is paying off. Keep proving me wrong from my original thoughts because like most others, I'm impressed atm.

It’s about time this kid had a thread of his own. He had plodder written all over him last year, and didn’t even look all that good in his first couple games this year, but the last month he’s really warming to the task and actually looks like a first grader. He’s all effort. Seems to have taken the role we were all hoping McIntyre would play for us. Re-sign him already.

For those who had seen him play in the Balmain juniors, he was always going to be a very good player. There was never plodder in his DNA, just an unbending self belief and outstanding work ethic. A NSW Under age rep with Lindsay Smith who played last night for the Panthers, he is highly regarded by Fittler.

He and Twal should share the lock duties until his fitness is up to speed. I believe he offers so much more to the team than our other locks, no lack of respect to Twal who is close to our best.

Its a shame tigers fans have this habit of writing off players early. Look at him go. Garners another one.

Twal should stay upfront as you need a lock who can ball play and Alex is able to do that as can Joffa.

Great to see him going so well, as I too had him down as a player who would bounce between first grade and reggies when injuries occurred.

He looks like a first grade player now.

Was always going to be a good player just based on effort alone - as soon as he adjusted to first grade and learned the game more he was gonna be a good player and that's showing

Has the best ball playing out of any of our forwards, has excellent contact in defence and his running game is improving - he's always the first guy backing up team mates in attack too. His effort in defence is fantastic on and off the ball

I always had faith in big red and it's good to see him deservedly be praised for his good form. The lad can play! Still so young but hopefully we sign him up for a couple years, he seems to love the club

Who do you drop for joe o??

Amone

Thomas Mikaele might be out anyway.

Yeah forgot that.

A one didn’t do anything wrong, I just reckon he’s at the bottom of the list

Someone mentioned on twitter he got into kikkau "I'll bash you, you ****."

Love it. Seyfarth + Blore = No nonsense forwards that teams may second guess messing with. Kikkau is a dirty player and is always looking to hurt someone with cheap shots and I'm glad we stood up to him.

Mikaele has overdone the cute stuff in the last fortnight. Credit to Alex he has over taken him comfortably, always happy to be wrong in circumstances like this because competition for spots is a massive thing that we haven't had for years.

What cute stuff? I'd say Mikaele switches off a bit in defense whereas Seyfarth will never do that.

I think they've both overtaken Musgrove, who, unfortunately, is a terrible fit for what the game has become.

Well if he said that he just went up further in my estimations.

He has a bit of thug in him. He smashed someone lying on the ground when he didn't need to. Gave a penalty away, but that sort of stuff makes opposition players second-guess themselves if they know he's around.

Agreed. He has that fighting spirit and a fire in his belly. Inspires his teammates with that never die attitude and does nothing half hearted. Something we've lacked for ages. Really surprised me

Love players with passion and we have a few of them emerging. Tommy is another one - they look like they want it.

If anyone had seen his efforts in reggies no one would have doubted him. Great team player. We need more like him and not the likes of latrine and I once had CARR!!!

He is a beast. I've been a fan for a while. He killed it in reserves.

Was our 20's player of the year a few years back too
