That the Tigers lacked the quality to capitalise on the repeat sets...What's summation then?
Not offended - but he'd also have very little respect for the ignorant and fickle supporter base of the club!Well if he was, he’d have real thin skin to be offended.
Thats news to me.You still rate Nofa strictly due to the region he came from FFS!!!!
Not to anyone else here champ!Thats news to me.
So it’s only because he’s a Cambo junior. Yet at the same time have been labeled as one of Brooks biggest apologists, yet he’s from the Balmain area? That doesn’t make sense. Not to anyone else here champ!
Strange Correlation that. The club also sucked for 99% of his tenure.
Your right in that Brooks and Sezer are very different players.Sezer didn't play a "little bit" of 7 at Canberra. he was predominantly partnered with Blake Austin and then Jack Wighton. Sam Williams was the backup half and Sezer would shift to 6 to accommodate him if there were injuries or suspensions.
he's now additionally played halfback the entire time he's been in England. it's not a Brooks-esque mistake at all. that's like saying Thurston was a 5/8 because he did a few seasons and played Origin there.
What’s that got to do with it? I reckon that’s a cop out.The club also sucked for 99% of his tenure.
This argument doesn’t matter anymore. What’s that got to do with it? I reckon that’s a cop out.
Do you reckon every time brooks couldn’t close out a set, or died on the last still holding the ball, or fired another rocket short ball no one can catch, his mind was clouded by thoughts of how poor the board is or how many hats Fruit Pascals didn’t sell this week.
In the moment on the field you’re playing footy, simple, and his footy is average at best and that comment gives brooks an excuse.
Sorry bit of a rant, I’m just sick of hearing that excuse for anyone especially brooks.
How many of those stats are attributable to Brooks?Wow, that's honestly very surprising.
It really did not feel that way when watching the games. I guess what we can take out of that is that repeat sets are not as important to wins as they once were.
The 40/20s I believe, Brooks really honed that part of his game last year. Manly are going to kick a few between him and DCE.
It's amazing what a change of scenery (club) can do and has done for some Ayers in the pastWhat’s that got to do with it? I reckon that’s a cop out.

I was with ya right up to the last bit where you give brooks another excuse for not being a better player after he has crossed the white line. It's amazing what a change of scenery (club) can do and has done for some Ayers in the past
I think he will go well at Manly and play better footy than he ever has
I've always thought he's had a real crack and done his best for us always, just for whatever reason I've no idea what that is... It just hasn't worked... Like a toxic r/ship.
You could be right, but whatever happens it was his fault that he played average here. Not the board, the CEO, or his relationship with the club (whatever that means). It was him being an average player on the field. I’d say good luck to him but I wouldn’t mean it, manly suck.Naah I think there's a better player in there waiting to emerge
.. But I might be wrong but it will.be interesting to see how it pans out for him
Who would have ever thought Billy Walters would turn into the player he did this year? It’s just the way things happen. Players get a new lease on life. It's amazing what a change of scenery (club) can do and has done for some Ayers in the past
We should give the bloke a chance before we start judging his abilities on the field (for us)Well if he was, he’d have real thin skin to be offended
What negativity has actually been said here? No one is saying he sucks. Whatever is being said, it’s all constructive. Pretty much the point of the forum. He’s a professional athlete, this sort of discussion comes with the territory. I’m sure he’s used to it. Don’t feel like you need to be a white knight on his behalf, im sure he’s fine.We should give the bloke a chance before we start judging his abilities on the field (for us)

Missed both the start and end of the season.
A dud.
