Shane Richardson

Always interesting hearing the life'n times of Richo but nothing really new in it that we hadn't heard before until the last few mins.

Richo is still working at the Wests Tigers part of his 3-month notice.

In these situations, he wouldn't be present at Concord but typically would have a project to work on, perhaps helping in the transition of Shaun or working on the football dept strategy with Shaun.

This comment he made then made think whether a comment he made earlier had any legs. Charlie Murray should be in the R2 17 he commented in his opinion. Maybe he knows something wink wink

Very good interview.
Interesting that he sees no problem with Wests Magpies being our NSW Cup team.
Very smart man who has had an outstanding career in his association with a few different NRL clubs, but notice he’s had fall outs with the owners or board at every club he has been with, so his fall out with us is certainly not a one off.
We are much better for his involvement with Wests Tigers, but the timing was right for his departure, especially when we now have someone he has mentored in Shaun Mielekamp now in control.

Thought he was growing some veges in pots on his balcony. 🤣

Not unlike Richo to support a Queenslander in Charlie Murray, have to admit he did look okay in the trial.
He’s right . Charlie couldn’t have done anymore than he did in those trials. He was clearly in our top 3 forwards for both games. And Benji is big on rewarding guys who stand out and deserve it . He also looks like he’s used the nrl preseason to bulk up and add some size . The issue though is we actually have a lot of depth. Already one of Bunty,Royce,Seyfarth,Fainu won’t be there come Tuesday . Then you have Roberts , Geyer , Sukkar , Hope and Murray going for that 4th edge bench spot / dummy half . It really will depend on if they put Madden on the bench , along with probably Skelton/ Herbert /Mason/Luke L . Gonna be interesting .
That’s 27man deep right there . Pretty amazing considering where the club was 2 years ago .

The good part is we have struggled through the stage where we were giving these players experience playing NRL or NSW Cup when some of them were clearly still developing and not quite ready.
This season we will hopefully reap the rewards with these players much more experienced and improved.

Not once was it mentioned that he had "fallouts with the owners or the board at every club he has been with". He said he had butted heads and not always got along with boards.. this is standard at an executive level especially when it comes to change management and direction forward.

Why do you feel the need to twist what was said and paint him in a negative light?

We are much better for his involvement with Wests Tigers, but the timing was right for his departure, especially when we now have someone he has mentored in Shaun Mielekamp now in control.
Richo had only just moved Shaun into football, so no, it wasnt the right time. The right time would have been at the end of Richos contract to give Shaun enough time in football before transitioning into the CEO role.

No people would prefer a “yes man” CEO like Pascoe who cared more about keeping his job and being on the good side of the clueless board than making decisions for the betterment of the club.

Richo's experience is a loss to the Tigers anyone who can't see it is dumb enough to drink pond water.

What does that say about the decisions made by the house of cretins.

I would have you know that those CRETINS were smart enough to buy cheap debentures in a closed shop so they could have lots of freebies and absolute power without being held to account and also run a football club into the ground.
They could give Dementia Don a run for his money in incompetence.

you blokes just won't give it a friggin rest. There's been no further crap coming out of Ashfield. We've made some retention signings. We've looked amazing in our first 2 games. There's been absolute zero unrest in the playing group. Yet you still have to have your dig.
Dementia Don ? is that the prez ? I thought the dementia bloke was old man Biden ? Now THERE is incompetence.
And, once again, let you not forget that those "cretins" were the kind and benevolent folks that paid out the debts of an actual 100% guaranteed verified poorly run club. Balmain, just in case you didn't work it out.
Let's all stand and show our respects.

Except for the part where he mentioned Shaun needed training in the football side of things.

Did his time at Gateshead Thunder get a mention 😆

I wouldn't get too comfortable thinking that there won't be more future poor decisions the daisy cutter they dropped caused a lot of debris that's still been cleaned up, the past just proves it's in their nature and I will leave it at that I'm more interested in how we go on the field now.

You keep on bringing up the old clubs, it's not necessary, the majority doesn't care about them anymore.

Have to agree that our depth is so much better than it has been in the past.

Not saying that we are jam packed with star players, but we have a number of players now that can step up and put in a more than acceptable performance when we have injuries or suspensions and we certainly could not rely on having as good a run with injuries as we did last season.

Definitely not a bad thing for Benji to have some choices, let's hope he makes the right selection decisions and manages the bench wisely.
