Kevin Naqaima is the 2nd best fullback at the club.

Mitchell Moses is the 2nd best fullback at the club Naiqama is a midget , he is 3 inches shorter than Hodgson was and probably shorter than Mighty Mouse

You'd rather like for like replacements though, rather than always doing the Sheens thing of changing two or more positions to cover one injury. On paper Moses starts at five eighth, a position where we have even fewer replacement options with sironen still not in full training. If the Tigers had to play tomorrow, Naiqama would be needed on the left wing as Nofauluma is 6-8 weeks from full training. If Nofo isn't expected to do a full contact session till march, I think Naiqama will probably be at number 2 when the regular season kicks off.

Which once again leaves us short a fullback. I think trialing McDonnel at no risk is exactly the right thing to do. It's not like there's pressure from the tigers to commit.

I didn't say I would put him there , just stating he is the 2nd best fullback Timmy Simmy is next

This is why we need a fourth fullback ASAP.

http://www.weststigers.com.au/news/2015/01/12/injury_report_januar.html

If you don't want to watch the whole thing, the general gist of it is that Rowe, Moltzen and Tedesco are still being babied in rehab, and aren't expected in full training for at least another four weeks. If the Tigers had to play tomorrow we'd be running Simona or Moses at fullback, and it's not like we've got too many options at centre or five eighth either. If McDonnell is fit to go straight into full contact in preseason, then he's probably worth having if only to give the boys an experienced fullback to train with. If a couple of our fullbacks come good before the trials then we don't even have to sign him, in the meantime he trains on an extended trial.

Kevin Naqaima is the 2nd best fullback at the club.

Mitchell Moses is the 2nd best fullback at the club Naiqama is a midget , he is 3 inches shorter than Hodgson was and probably shorter than Mighty Mouse

According to google Tedesco and McDonnell are 180cm. Naqaima is 179cm and Hodgson is 175cm. Shannon Gallant is 172cm.

He is 1.79.

If u had ever seen him play u would know he isnt 1.70.

Usual suspects bang on the money as usual.

I didn't say the figure was right or not , just was pointing out where I got the figure from

OK with you ??

Well u were having a moan about him and u categorically stated that he was a midget which is untrue,

So yes im NOT ok with that.

"Mitchell Moses is the 2nd best fullback at the club Naiqama is a midget , he is 3 inches shorter than Hodgson was and probably shorter than Mighty Mouse."

Naquima looking fit as actually.. wouldnt be surprised see him infirst grade.. club advertising him a lot too.. don't expect Moses to play full back

He is actually a pretty handy player and I would expect him to get a run at some stage this year.

WHich is amazing considering the adversity he has come through him being a midget and all.

Based on 170cm he would be the shortest player in the comp and you wouldn't play him at fullback

But then again he will look soooo tall when he is challenging for bombs with the likes of Daniel Tupou

Naiqama would certainly be the number 2 fullback at the club at the moment. He'd be ahead of Rowe, Moltzen is a cripple and Simona would be better kept in the centres or the wing.

McDonnell would be somewhere around 3-5th choice fullback option for us. If he's on NSW Cup contract for salary cap reason he should be behind rowe and moltzen who have nrl contracts, but playing wise McD would probably be ahead of both Rowe and Moltz.

Lol at anyone thinking Chance would realistically be ahead of McD for a first grade spot. A kid who's never played higher than u-20s footy v a player with 150 top grade games? A super talented kid might sneak ahead based on potential, but there aren't too many 20 year olds who are realistically more likely to see first grade than experienced pros, not without playing some nsw cup games first. We all know there's a big gulf in quality between u20s and NRL.

I've already agreed with you Simon , as I said I was basing off another figure quoted

Can you get someone to read my comments back to you

I'm not thrilled about this situation, but having had a think about it, what else could we expect? It's not like we're going to shell out $200k for a decent FG player to play State Cup. Everyone wants to play FG but not everyone does, and the fact is, we need someone we can afford without breaking the bank so to speak. McDonnell is looking for a chance so here we are.

Pity you didn't think first before describing him as germ …

Naquama is definitely much more of a winger than fullback.
He is a far inferior fullback than Moltzen and Rowe who are the backup options. If all 3 first choice fullbacks are out, it is a lottery who is next.

As terrible as Rowe is he is still much better than Junior Burger.
