I want to see my money now.
Stocks are okay if u have capital -
Not just a few couple extra dollars.

I'm definitely not made of money, but I like to invest. I look at it as my own personal second super, just try and invest a little out of my pay cheque each week, then use my actual super as a benchmark to see how I'm going.

Buy & sell baby...buy & sell

I bought few CBA shares at $60 per share now at $85 per share, not sure whether to sell or keep. They also pay great dividends.

I let my super fund do the worrying..Been retired for five years and I annually withdraw around 7% of my nest egg and I still have more than when I started by some margin.
On the other hand my brother a retired doctor looks after his own and has aged ten years with half the returns.

Also my advise go blue chip and focus on dividends that are fully franked

BRN - Brainchip, for a spec. Artificial intelligence technology company. Doing some really unique and interesting things - they have more of a hardware focus.

Does anyone know anything about emeco shares. EHL
They want me to buy 10% more shares at 10% discount.
They are employee shares from when I worked there. They have never set the world alight i don't think

Have a look at this https://www.fool.com.au/2020/01/30/emeco-share-price-on-watch-after-acquisition-hy20-update/

Looks like it's a fairly well run company with specific financial targets being met. Do your research, but you could potentially lock in profit from day one.

If they are a buy and hold stock with good dividends for you, then it's a good opportunity to top up if you have some spare cash lying around.

ZNO (Zoono Group Ltd) - Bought 12,000 @ 0.86 last Friday > Today ^up^ to 0.985 (^14.2%)

This one is doing well on the back of coronavirus fears. They make antimicrobial products that have been shown to work effectively against coronavirus strains. They were big under the SARS scare as well I'm led to believe.

According to a recent ASX announcement, sales are apparently going through the roof at present. Might be a good short term one while the virus is front page news.

@weststigers what do you think of gold miners at the moment? I'm holding a couple, NST and KLA.

I tend to stay away from mining companies unless they are producing, but even then, I view them as trading stocks that need to be watched in line with the resource price - it's always a nail biter when an announcement comes out because it's so reliant on a couple of factors. It's too stressful for me.

Gold is high right now due to global issues, so if you've made some profit, maybe shave off your initial investment and let some the profit ride?

NST (Northern Star) seems to have made a good acquisition recently which people seem optimistic about - that optimism is built into the current share price. If an announcement is slightly off expectations, then it'll dump as you know.

Not sure of KLA (Kirkland Lake Gold). Seem to have also made a good acquisition, but same as NST - it all depends on what's happening on the ground. It's hard to gauge until an announcement comes out.

Depends what your objective is...if it's buy and hold long term, then mining stocks aren't my favourite. If you buy in at low entry points, then wait for the resource price to recover (as in, right now) to sell, then the volatility is your friend.

Just my 2 cents

ETF’s: - ieu, ixj, stw (asx codes)
Shares: - col, rio
Managed funds (asx codes): - MHH, MGG, MGE ( all great boutique funds with excellent returns)..

That’s my portfolio returned 24% growth last 12 months...very happy

Been playing with EOS over the years. Got down to 60c but recently went $10.70. Great little Aussie space company mixing with the big boys. Some very funky tech including satellite tracking, space communications amongst other things.

Gone pretty hard but hopefully this is just the start.

I've got one I'll tell if you PM ....I know a certain company who is planning to offload some long time ballast so to speak .....I imagine it will net a quiet little profit when it all goes down
