Sharks in Trouble again.

So what ? They still stripped points off parra for things that happened a few years before that.

You need to let it go, we're not going to make the 8.

Every year all the teams say there compliant, what's different in the Sharks saying they are compliant in 2018.
If Sharks are not compliant do they deserve to be in the 8? Do they deserve to be in the finals instead of us, and what happens if they make the Grand Final. Just having them in the 8 is not fair for any team playing currently in the final series. If there out the Panthers are in the top 4\. It changes the whole final series, the Sharks should be suspended now, that would give a clear message to all clubs that the salary cap is to be taken seriously.

Article says numerous times they're cap compliant for 2018….did you not read it?

NRL 360 says they haven't been cleared yet for 2018

They say they are known to have discrepancies in 2015 and 2017 but the NRL hasn't cleared them for 2018 yet

TPA's causing grief yet again. When the hell are the NRL going to do something about this? It surely cant go on. Innocent players, guilty clubs? Like heck, they are both in it.

The simplest way to monitor it- players report their TPA to both NRL & the club, club reports TPA to NRL. Any discrepency between the 2 reports and an immediate investigation- not need for 3 year old historical breaches - at best its one year behind.

or…............

GET RID OF TPA's. They have been shown to be too tempting for mischief and unable to be easily complied with.

I can tell you Luke Lewis real wage is 750K a year

On the cap for alot less also has been promised a job when he finally calls it a day as well as part of his original deal with the Sharks

If what you say is true
Then how ridiculous that they can get this far in the season un-detected
For the last few years by the sounds of it
The NRL needs to act swiftly now and in the future
It's just not good enough that there are indiscrepencies showing up years after the season has ended
While the clubs like us continue to miss out on the 8 while following the rules
The big question here is how many other clubs are doing it
Or should I say cheating

First peptides now illegal payments
The NRL must be female because it has no balls to come down hard
It appears rules are not rules

It has been known (according to 360 ) for 3 months

What I don't get is this , why find the issues in 2015 and 2017 , why not concentrate wholly and solely in 2018 first and foremost ??

You can't change the past , you sure as poo can fix the present and future :brick:

100%

Put a pin in the years previous and circle back. Focus on the now!

So this decade amid supplement and TPA scandals Cronulla conveniently managed to be compliant in 2016 and 2018? Umm, OK. :unamused:

But the next thing is this

We talk about players bringing the game into disrepute

What about clubs and the serious issues involved

So we focus on the Sharks

2011-2013 we have the Peptides scandal

Know we now that 2015 and 2017 they have salary cap "irregularities"

Ben Barba gets done for drugs for a 2nd time in 2016

Damian Keogh with a drugs saga

Andrew Fifita has numerous clashes with the NRL over involvement in junior footy , known support for a convicted murderer and in the latest run in with coaches

Why doesn't the game have rules to invoke massive penalties for multiple issues

Leave the TPA's

Make the players 100 % responsible for their own contracts and if it goes wrong (as Ben Ikin said ) they sit out the length pof the contract if found rorting the cap and the money is still applied to the club's salary cap (and the funds not used gets put into Junior and Country RL )

This crap will stop immediately

Player blames his manager , too bad so sad , be like the rest of us who risk dealing with dodgy lawyers , accountants , tradesmen ,employers and employees every day of every week

We will get rid of the dodgier player managers as they won't be trusted

Clubs will be scared of losing cap money and players

Players won't risk signing with dodgy clubs

Worth a try in my opinion

I’ll add
the 2002 bulldogs were stripped with about 2 weeks left of season all
Their points. That only took a week
To kill a 1st place team

Different administration, Toddles thinks that a harsh penalty would be telling them they are very naughty boys and dont do it again.
