1\. Its not a stadium.

2\. It has a rich and unique night game history.

3\. Its rugby league, not a bloody Mills & Boon novel…this ''nothing better than a sunny sunday arvo at LO" is a load of crap.

really dont like saturday nights:

1) Leichardt just not the same in the night, id prefer the afternoon games
2) Way to cold and normally i have things to do :S

and why the hell should LO be unfit for Saturday Night games?… dammit they are all great... Just because its not like something out of a Thomas Keneally poem, doesn't mean its not gonna go off.

It's just not a stadium that is ideal for night games. Sunday afternoon and Leichhardt just go together.

I'll still be there of course, but not the same.

Of course it tops on a Sunday. Any football on a Sunday at any smaller ground is great. Especially Leichhardt. But lets not be gay about it. Why the hell should we be snooty about playing football on a Saturday Night. Do you really, actually think that a good night game against our 'bunny' is somehow unworthy of the supposedly hallowed turf of LO. Hell no! It's good little ground… but you're having a bit of a J Arthur if you think its that good.

For all those non believers…..LO is hallowed turf.

And secondly.....I love night games there.

The atmosphere is awesome.......and you can get on the cans during the day and be in great spirit and voice for the night.

No problems here.

Some on here need some concrete....just be happy that we have games there at all and get out there and support them.

It also should mean we get all three grades in one day at the old girl.

Edit: Confirmed that BRET is listed to play at 3pm on that day at Leichhardt in the NSWRL Season Draw

Lets face it the "old girl" was the original home of night football. Or should I say Original and best. The old weds night Amco cup. Now that brings back memories, Lockwoods flick pass to Pringle, Jacks two length of the field trys against the bears and I do remember beating the Sharks one year to win the cup. Anytime is a good time to watch footy at the old girl and even better when you win and celebrate with a beer at the Orange Grove pub while you try and remember what street you parked in
