Sharks Trial: LIVE GAME THREAD

Prince looked at his best when he was running it to the line…

I agree, but back then he was still coming off a broken leg and was very tentative in doing so. His dominant facets were his play-making. Steadily he got his courage back and developed an awesome running game too, but I think most of what moved him from a 6 to the 7 was his fear of running at the line at the time.

I suppose part of Sheens' thinking is that he doesn't want to lose a potential star like Lui. I'm guessing he'll be giving him a long time to get use to the 7\. At worst, he can give most of the responsibility to Benji and just use his excellent long kicking game, which looks absolutely effortless.

Wests Tigers received a repeat set when a grubber kick by Farah was forced dead in-goal in the 58th minute. The Tigers were able to get into the Sharks' territory after Lui broke through four defenders to reach the quarter line.

A penalty against the Sharks for holding down too long in tackle gave Wests Tigers another set from 15 metres out. Farah capitalised on the extra possession when he darted from dummy half to roll over in a tackle to score his second try in the 59th minute for a 26-6 lead. Moltzen failed to convert the try.

It really sucks that we have such an abundance of talent in the 6 with Marshall, Lui and Moltzen. I think Lui would be an effective play-making lock.

I would be working towards a team of
1\. Mullaney
6\. Marshall
7\. Taumata
9\. Farah
13\. Lui
14\. Moltzen

Lui looks to have improved his defense and I can see him playing a Jason Smith/Feleti Mateo type game.

Well Prince was a dominant play-making 6 with a good kicking game and passing game more than a running game. He looked the part to make the conversion to 7\. None of these boys really do look like halfbacks to me.

not at brisbane he wasn't.
he had stars all around him and struggled in his first stint at 7

the tigers will be run by farah and benji.

Another dropped ball by the Sharks ,and then the Tigers lose it ….fair dinkcum...and then from a scrum from 40 out of Tigers line , Gordon runs To the line and scores nearthe posts
26-12

i would like that team but i dont think sheens will play taumata or mullaney just yet

sounds like lui is killing it in the 6, good effort to come back from a poor performance last week..

I agree. I just think it'd be what I'd work towards. It'd be the best way to put to use the players that we'd otherwise just have to let go on account of having surplus talent.

I think the question is more which of these players are we going to lose to other clubs.
Just got to make sure we keep the right ones.
