Shawn Blore #235

Lets see how the "center of Excellence" manages this injury.
Dane Finucane signed with Cronulla because of how they managed Gallen in his later years.
I totally get a player who is in their last 4 years wanting to know their injuries will be well managed. I could imagine someone like Shawn Blore looking at an injury like this and being tempted by the Gold Coast (ok no) or Cronulla on well managed injury management. I also totally respect Dane Finucane's attitude of I have 4 years left which club is going to get the best out of me, Instead of "hey hey Paycheck signed for my last 4 years of Rugby league".

Suspected ACL injury at training.

Probably out for the season.

What the???
If true it sucks but we must move on from him then.

Our injury toll to start the year would be the worst of any club - Blore, AD, Tommy, AJ - 4 starters for us.

Yeah, 4 bloody ACL injuries, 4 out of the top squad in about 9 months and a Pectoral tear in rehab for the first ready to take the field again.

some sort of review of trainers is needed

Whatever it might be, surely must be way over the odds for simple coincidence.

We had a pretty good run with injury in 2020 from memory, might have been 2019. It goes in cycles. Would rather 2022 be virtually wiped out for us than 2023 when we've got genuine quality on its way that's for sure

Yeah, WT have had a decent run, still, 4 ACL's in such a short period is crazy.

Gallen may or may not (cough) had "outside assistance" through his pensioner years.
Centre Of Excellence can't work medical miracles. Will hopefully be an asset when it comes to treating and managing medical issues though

Maybe Sheensy can concert an outside back into a second rower for the season....

I remember a few years ago we had massive issues with injuries and changed the strength and conditioning approach/team. Voila no more injuries. It may be a coincidence this time around, but a review is in order.
cycles are a myth with training injuries.

I always thought Tommy Talau might move there eventually.

Hey everyone welcome back.
I'm trying to navigate around the new forum layout, looks impressive but ol Cobarcats is going to have some orientation issues.
It's probably been said but has someone got an official announcement to the extent of the Blore's scans?

Just as a side story, I read yesterday that his brother Dean (who played rugby union for Warringah Rats in the Shute Shield) was returning to rugby league.

Best wishes for his operation and rehab.
He will be back, and will be an integral part of wests tigers progress.
