Why not release AJ instead of Blore?

Nearly every other NRL team has at least 3 proven quality NRL edge forwards on their roster.
We currently have Papali’i and Bateman. I have huge doubt that Bateman can provide what we need, hoping I’m wrong.
Of the others it’s only really Samuela Fainu and Brandon Tumeth who both have good potential, but haven’t proven themselves at NRL just yet.

He's a bit of a myth.
He won't "kill it" at the Storm. He'll do a job like every other forward at the Storm not named Sofa Solomon. He'll do it robotically and anonymously and then be let go.

That doesn’t suit our needs but may be beneficial to their system.
Sometimes you have to cut your losses and move on to a new project. We have some good kids coming through.

If he went there for 2024, he’d be a starter.

Exactly. Blore should be retained because he's a quality footballer, unlike a lot in our top 30. Why tf have we extended To'a, Naden, AJ etc. They're barely good enough for KOE

No I’m just speculating. The truth is probably somewhere in between. For eg, he may have wanted to stay at tigers for 500 a year guaranteed starting 2nd rower but happy play in melbournes system for 350. Imagine the outrage if we payed overs for potential….again.

It’s easy to just believe wherever you want to about these things which are never going to be definitively proved one way or the other

Blore will di well at Storm and kick on like most players that leave tigers.
We have juniors coming through so not the biggest loss in the world, would think maybe Olam swap is back on ? Olam although not great is probably better than what we currently have
