Shawn Blore #235

I know Penrith are a grubby club, but they know how to produce a junior. It’s what we need to be striving for, to produce so many good ones that we can’t fit them all in and have to offload some. We have the nursery to do it.

Just reading Madge’s comments after the game. He said he’s looking forward to seeing Blore push for another opportunity. Surely that doesn’t mean he misses out next week?

Keep them hungry.

Keeping a lid on it

With Twal, Mikaele and Garner back there might not be a spot for him next week. Fingers crossed he can grab that final bench spot though, if we run a utility on the bench he will probably miss out.

Top start to his career

But as Gus says "you have a lifetime to prepare for your debut ...a week for game 2 "

Maybe "Beesting" but the rubbish bin is full of people that didn't even make a ripple on their first game...in fact it is overflowing.

He really impressed me. Coming off an ACL, FG debut, called in at the 11th hour, team were walking wounded and he answered the call.

Got some guys that like to hurt people on and off the ball. Blore, Big Mac, even Packer has rediscovered his mongrel.

Yep Packer has really got his mojo backed. I noticed him blowing up big time after we let RCG in.

agreed. after a debut like that he would want to control the media's coverage.

We all know where a " the next andrew johns" after a debut ends up.

He man-handled RCG in contact every time as well. Super impeessed by Blore. We have finally got one.

Big tick of approval - We will have a much improved forward pack with such younger talent coming through, lets get back some players ASAP.

Impressive debut from Blore, I haven’t seen someone hit so hard and often with a technique like that since SBW and Ellis. I’m already convinced he’s a keeper and could reach great heights in rugby league.

Cronk might argue he will never reach those heights unless he moves to the Roosters or. Storm or become a Qlder.

What I liked most was he encouraged the challenge with Brown and backed it up. Nothing worse than a Matterson type mouthing off then getting knocked out when the heat is on.

Stood his ground and came up trumps. 1 - 0 to Blore.
