why did we let Nathan Brown go? i loved watching him in toyota cup

edit- yes loved Blore, he's only 19 too!! great head on his shoulders. Plays the game the right way. Same can be said of Brown too.

Not last night for Brown.

yeah true, i forgot about the punch/slap

he's calmed down a lot though since the raiders incident.

Potentially, another positive is his connection with the Panthers. Hopefully he's best mates with Burton and encourages him or others to jump ship

I remember Gould saying Blore needed a bit of work before he was ready for first grade in a tweet.... Looks like he might have been wrong!

Great debut! We've got sunny skies ahead guys. Haven't felt this good after a loss in a while.

It's funny he's a totally different player for Eels than for us. He was a big unit with big physical impact, kind of like a fit George Rose, but not the duracell bunny he's become.

Did Brown get injured in 2014? He debuted in 2013 late in the year but we couldn't play him continually as he was special dispensation of 2nd-tier cap due to injuries. Brown did not play a game in 2014 and was released with immediate effect to Souths at the beginning of the 2015 season.

Given that Potter wasn't playing him in 2014 and JT was the coach in 2015 when he was released, you would have to assume neither coach rated him too highly. I have a feeling he was playing with too much weight.

And Brown was competent without being great for Rabbits IIR; 28 games in 2 seasons, 7 in the first.

That's not a thing.

Ryan Matto is great mates with Aloiai and Twal.

Woods and Klemmer.

etc.

yeah true. just like work. We all got good mates but we wouldn't want to see them or work with them 9-5, training etc

I disagree. These blokes play footy together. Most of my close mates are from my uni rugby days. Even though playing footy is their profession, I'm sure a lot are mates outside of footy.

Blore is bound to be mates with a few Panthers who are looking for an opportunity, like him.

They don't have to be Panthers, he's played and captain rep teams, they'll do.

For someone who's been out of the game for the amount of time he has to do what he did is outstanding in itself, add to that he was on debut and you realise that we've got a serious footballer on our hands.

I think he impressed Madge and the coaching staff and he'll have some big decisions being made about his future at the club.

We've got a talent no doubt about it

Hopefully he gets another run. I want to see him properly playing second row without the team being full of injuries

Sucked in Brown. Got beaten by a 19 year old on debut and the best you could come up with was a faked crusher.

was a pretty weak effort to be fair.....I'm usually singing his praises about how hard he plays, but man alive he was a squid there...Blore owned him

How pathetic Brown holding his head to suck Sutton into a crusher penalty as soon as he heard the whistle bounced up to his feet as quickly as happy is over a toad..

Mate every player in our side is mates with someone or other at another club, as is the coach and all the assistant coaches.

Same any player who played for us is just as capable of referring players OUT of Tigers.

Not really a thing to be putting forward as a special case for anyone. So yeah maybe Blore can speak to his Panthers mates, maybe Benji and Madge can chat to all the Kiwis, maybe Stefano can talk to the Eels boys with Aloiai and Twal, Mbye can pick up the phone to the Doggies, Doueihi can call up Souths, we've got the Leilua bros covering Saints and Raiders, McIntyre a Knights junior, Huth is from Penrith too. Heck Harry Grant should call up all his Storm mates. Is there a club we've left off the list?

Last time we had a mad link to a player his Dad ended up leaving US.

Anyone know his nationality?

With Stefano joining Luciano next year, I reckon we change Shawn to Saverio and make him an honorary Italiano.
Tony Soprano will agree.
Let's all sing along . . . . "when he hits Nathan Brown who ends up on the ground, that's B- lorey"

Pathetic the ref fell for it and did nothing about it.
