Did Sheens really try and compare Moltzen to Boyd, Slater and Bowen?

No he just said they are the elite ones and even they have made mistakes. He said that combined Moltzen and the wingers got it wrong as a group. They should have executed better.

Pretty sure from memory more blame was levelled at both wingers, "they were coming in, he was coming across"

spot on Sirro,i always thought if you got your D right your attacked flowed because of it .
Sheens is a cop out .
Im not fooled by him anymore ,neither are his players .

Very true too. Beau and Lote were primarily to blame for me. As Lockyer said, it is the player running onto its ball. But dont let a bit of truth stop the Moltzen bashing.

That line sums up why Sheens cant coach a consistant team…..."when your offence is off your defence suffers".... i think its safe to say every other coach would reverse the comment. Sheens bases everything on attack where every other team build from their defence. I have to say that comment from him has got right under my skin because its exactly what our problem has been since Sheens has been here

Or you could look at it the other way, he has delivered 1 premiership to the teams he has coached in the last 16 seasons!!!

That Canberra side was a magnificent side, filled with absolute legends of the game.

His coaching record since is 3 finals series with the Tigers in 9 seasons. There isnt a coach in any other team that would be coaching with the same club for that long with a record like that.

Im a realist and know that there is no way that management will be sacking him as he still has another 2 and a half seasons left no matter how bad we go. But surely he needs to deliver at least 1 more premiership in that time for 12 years of coaching at the one team. I mean 1 premiership in 12 years of coaching, surely our supporters/management demand a better return??

Bennett had a qld origin team for 20 years at the broncos…people still think the sun shines out of his ass.

Of course he blames the wingers instead of his favourite Moltzen.

If it happened once, fair enough, these things happen, but twice involving the same players…..please.

If the wingers were to blame on both occasions, why was not one or both of them dropped?

Of course he will not drop Moltzen so he blames someone else. When blind Freddy saw what went on.

Moltzen is the fullback, the high ball is his responsibility, end of story.

When are some people on this forum going to realise that Moltzen is not, I repeat Not a first grade anything.

As for Sheens, I have been a supporter of his for a long time. But I think he has been with us for long enough.

Na I disagree.Its the job of the fullback to contest the ball.If that means taking out your own player or spilling the pill while in the air well so be it at least the attempt is their.There was no excuse for that.Or maybe there is an excuse.

Im certainly not downplaying 2005, was a great memory, the best day of my rugby league supporting life. But Id like to see another one some time soon.

What is this remark about minimal finances?? The Tigers have been paying the full salary cap since 2006 and I believe have been fined almost every year for exceeding the salary cap.

Yes they have had injuries but so does every team, its just excuse after excuse with Tim Sheens supporters. I wish that people moved on from how bad we were prior to Tim Sheens. He helped to deliver a premiership and I will be forever gateful for it, but there has been to much inconsistancy for this team over so long.

Its time for a new coach, new staff and fresh ideas, he has certainly had enough chances at this team. But as I mentioned earlier nothing is going to happen till at least 2015 so until then it will be more of the same inconsistant performances. :brick:

Yes ant all clubs spend up to the cap these days…its what you can do outside the cap with extra money that helps.

But i was referring to sheens who continually coached clubs that were struggling on and off thefield compare to bennett who had 20 years at broncos that had it all.
