Yes…... cause it will be funny to see **the Balmain side** filled with Wests Magpie juniors...

:sign: :supporter:

Hey Bug .....did you know the BEAST and Waters have been told they are playing for BRET this year....

It's Ok but we still got Falcone and the Rock and Jeffries are BACK in BLACK & WHITE...

If you say "Yes" it should be the Wests Tigers state cup side….then how can it be the Balmain side?
An admin trolling...

Just like him saying all the WT contracted players will play for Balmain Ryde Eastwood. Where is he getting that information from??? Hmmm??? Another G(eo) Up!!! I think there are people on this forum who make up stuff just to watch peoples reactions and to stir.

We shall see who lines up for who this year …As of 2010 we had 2 state cup teams and the NRL players were spread relatively evenly...this year i believe they will ALL play for BRET when not in FG...to me that makes the BRET side a Wests Tigers State cup team call it whatever you want.......

Just like Shell harbour is the Dragons and Sunshine Coast beagle was Manly's South Logan was Canberra's Newtown is the Rorters and the Bears are souff's Merlbourne CC Storm and so on....

grow up ink argue the point not the poster...

This thread is interesting..... http://www.weststigersforum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=5928&start=18" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Have a read of it Alien and tell me It's me making stuff up...

Giving yourself waaay too much credit here...my reply wouldve been exactly the same no matter who wrote the post
Its not about last year or this year, The whole thread is a hypothetical....just admit youre wrong

If the club has decided that all nrl players not playing in the nrl play for BRET then it becomes a defacto WT state cup team by strength alone and it relects the wishes of the club. It makes sense then to combine Wests and Balmain into one team and call them Wests Tigers (this is apparently being by stealth through the BRET only use of nrl players). It is important to protect our heritage and ensure both Wests and Balmain continue to exist and be recognised through the junior rep teams playing in the junior rep competitions.

_Should Wests Tigers have only one State cup side called Wests Tigers by 2012 ?_

It'll hapen, when is the question.

The team should be called the Campbelltown City Kangaroos. Sponsored by Wests Leagues Campbelltown and playing out of Campbelltown Stadium. The local Bundy Cup team should feed into it as should the junior leagues. Wests and Balmain should de-register themselves from the NSWRL and just RIP. Discuss…

"Balmain need help bad" - please!!!

Grand-finalists in 2009 and one-game away from the GF in 2010 - meanwhile Wests got A. Fifita, Daniela, Corby, Fitzy, Moors last year and still finished behind us!!!

I'm not going to bag the Magpies though - they too have had a very competitive side for the past two seasons - and if we are to have two NSW Cup teams I believe the fringe-top graders should be distributed equitably!!

I am however prepared to support a rationalised single-entity for WT in NSW Cup!

geeez…It was tongue in cheek...some of you need to lighten up a bit especially the one's that have been around forums for a looong time....

OK FTR..BRET have been the best State Cup team in the past 2 years IMO...just a shame the Scumdogs stack the Bankstown mongrel mutts with ALL their NRL players not playing first grade.....hold on a tick... :astonished:

This is a gee up, you are a stirer Staks, although your comment has brought back memories of the days when Campbelltown city was one of the strong clubs in Group 6 and Wests Leagues club first opened I think it was called Campbelltown Leagues Club (a long time ago now) and I'm sure Tim sheens played for Campbelltown City for one season after he retired from playing for Penrith.

Sheensy won a Group-6 premiership for Campbelltown as captain-coach in 1983 (and also represented Country) - after leaving Penrith following a club record 258 grade (164 in first grade) games!!!

It is ironic that the Wests-Cambo crowd are the ones that hate him the most!!!

Why whats wrong with my opiniom?

Junior League - Junior Reps - NYC/Campbelltown Bundy Cup/ – Campbelltown State Cup -- NRL

Progression... Pathway to Success.

No need for Wests and Balmain to exist.

C'mon Sheens... make it happen.

they do???

Maybe not you buddy - but the bug & his compatriots seem to have put a target on the so-called "Fonz" from 2006 (if not before)!!!

Staks - I understand passion - but I am unwilling to get into a stupid slanging match about naming of a sole entity NSW Cup team!

Bundy Red Cup looks after vagrants like Dunly & Isaac Lui - but it has no relevance to the naming of our potentially united NSW Cup team (which I would assume to be named Wests Tigers if/when it happens)!!!

Several posts in this thread have just been deleted. Please stick to the topic instead of pointing the finger at people.

That is visionary…well done * insert applaud emoticon here...

I would like the folowing sides.
Wests Tigers 1st grade
Wests Tigers State Cup NSWRL side
Wests Tigers NYC
Wests Tigers Bundy Cup
Wests Tigers Jersey Flegg
Wests Tigers SG Ball
Wests Tigers Harold Matts

That way everything is transparent. A direct pathway to success.
Wests Tigers

I'd agree transparency can be easily achieved if from Bundy Cup up is branded Wests Tigers, but both parent Leagues should have some rights to keep thier junior identity with Jersey Flegg, SG Ball & Harold Matthews Shield considering they technically are thier Junior Rep Teams…

To keep the junior rep teams as they currently are allows both Wests and Balmain to keep their identity at least at a junior level. It also allows the junior leagues in both areas to offer kids a chance to play rep football. More opportunities are opened up for kids rather than limiting to one team being Wests Tigers. At a time when Rugby League is competing with other codes for players and a fan base it is better to provide greater opportunity to juniors IMO.

Errr Flegg is now NYC

Where will these matts and ball kids train?
Just not practical
They have school you know and the distance is a factor, many wouldnt be allowed to play as is the case in junior district rep cricket which takes up half a weekend
