Side vs Penriff

I think Utai will prob get flicked, he had one of those nights. Either Tedessco or Reddy to come in.

After the job Buchannen did, I expect them to be a little less prop heavy in the rotation and brig in Pettybourne for Bell.

Id drop one of Anasta or Fulton to the bench, not sure which.

So galloway makes 110 meters, 30 tackles without missing any in our worst performance and you want to put him on the bench - You sir are an idiot

FB - Tedesco
W- Koroibete
C- Lawrence - Keeps his spot but he needs to get it together because he was worst on ground
C- Ayshford
W- Reddy - was solid when he came on and Utai as much as I love him isn't up to it
FE - Benji
HB -Miller - For now
L- Blair
SR- Fulton
SR- Pettybourne
P - Woods
H- Farah
P - Galloway - Best on field for the Tigers last night

R1- Buchannan
R2- Ben Murdoch masiala- Didn't miss a tackle
R3- Braith Anasta
R4 -Matt Bell

1.Tedesco
2.Nayaravaro
3.Ayshford
4.Lawrence
5.Koro
6.Marshall
7.Miller
8.Galloway
9.Farah
10.Woods

This is my first post on this forum. After watching the team play last night this will be my best side to take on the Panthers: What I would say to the players if i was Mick Potter

1: James Tedesco (Take your chance with both hands, keep busy and want the ball, ball play when we are in the opposition 20 to take pressure off Benji and Farah. Plenty of talk
2\. Marika Koroibete (Keep taking the ball up hard, watch your timing with the cross field kicks, dont jump too early)
3\. Blake Ayshford (Time to step up, one of the older heads in the backline with Lawrence, lead the way for the younger fellas, authoritive with your talk and communication)
4\. Chris Lawrence (Same as Ayshford)
5\. David Nofoaluma (Enjoy the occasion, not many people get the chance to play 1st grade, back your ability and play to your strengths. This spot is yours if you want it, go out there and take it)
6\. Benji Marshall (Touch the ball atleast 3 times in a set of 6\. Dont want you at dummy half at all. Second from the ruck at all times, give yourself space, test out the defence and if doubt stick to the percentage plays. DONT KICK early unless the opportunity for a positive outcome is around the 90% mark. Dont kick for the sake of it)
7\. Jacob Miller (Be confident, want the ball. Over rule Benji and Farah if you see an opportunity. Take the line on, draw players in which will cause space on the outside for benji where in those situations he plays his best football.
8\. Aaron Woods (Line speed in Defence and Attack, plenty of hit ups, look for the occasional offload if the opportunity arises which will help with 2 phase play. Quick play the balls.
9\. Robbie Farah (Keep doing what you're doing)
10\. Keith Galloway (Mongrel in defence and hit the ball back with a bit more punch, lead the way for the young forward pack)
11\. Adam Blair (Effort around the ruck, no stupid penalties, quick play the balls and dont stop before being tackled)
12\. Eddie Pettybourne (Tackle, Tackle, Tackle. One of the best in the team that takes the ball up with plenty of enthusiasm and aggression. Does go forward with this hitups. Look to hit the hole in the opposition 20
13\. Braith Anasta (Ball play, Ball play, Ball Play. Plenty of work in "D" but inside opposition half thats where you come in for your experience. Plenty of ball movement with you and the halves. If we are going to put an attacking bomb up, i want you to put your hand up)

14\. Liam Fulton (Defence first prioirty. I want you to average around 30 tackles a game)
15\. Jack Buchanan (Great debut, run different angles and maintain the momentum after coming on 25mins into the game. Keep it simple
16\. Bodene Thompson (Stay solid in defence, add some sting into the defence. Great leg drive in attack)
17\. Taqele Naiyaravoro (Size, Speed and Power. Good contact in defence and plenty of Metres gained in attack. Looking to hit you into the hole close to the line)

Well it's hard to argue with the above… Particularly about a halves. Took Marshall 79 and 1/2 minutes to run at the line last night and when he did he almost scored. Needs to be at pace though. No point getting the ball first pass and then running as an afterthought. Move on to the ball, have someone running as an option and then it can work.

Welcome aboard...

I am happy to give most players a second chance. However i think our starting back needs to be bulked up with Fulton/Anasta coming on later and running some good lines at a tired defence.

Bell to start in the back row and to come off after about 20 then go into prop rotation.

1\. Moltzen
2\. Tedesco
3\. Lawrence
4\. Ayshford
5\. Koroibete
6\. Marshall
7\. Miller
8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Pettyborne
12\. Bell
13\. Blair

14\. Fulton
15\. Buchanan
16\. BMM
17\. Anasta
18\. Thompson

1\. Moltzen
2\. Big T/Nofo
3\. Ayshford
4\. Lawrence
5\. Koribete
6\. Marshall
7\. Miller
8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Pettybourne
12\. Fulton
13\. Blair
14\. Thompson
15\. Bell
16\. Anasta
17\. Buchanan

Reddy's first play of the game was to let a gidley kick go which ended up being a forty 20.

Those asking for Big T as you call him he was a laughing stock in the foundation cup and the bloke doesnt have a high work rate.

the only changes should be moltzen and miller gone with Teddy at 1 Anasta in the halves Pettybourne into the backrow

He is keeping the same starting side as per Potter's Member Preview.

Laughable

Any time you have to name a team less than 24 hours after a game, that is the default. I guess he may consider changes later on in the week.

Well you can pick whatever players in whatever positions you like, but Benji is still calling and attempting to execute our important plays and kicking so its all in vain.
Is everyone so blind that they can't see he is the cancer in our team? a few of you are getting close but changing his position isn't the answer I'm afraid. If you think Moltzen is bad at fullback or Lawrence and Ayshford at centre you'll know what bad is if Benji plays in either of those positions.

I didn't expect wholesale changes but I did expect at least a few players to be dropped after that pathetic performance last night.

Potter's Preview - Penrith Panthers

Wests Tigers Coach Mick Potter is confident his men can turn around their disappointing performance in round one at Campbelltown Sports Stadium this Sunday.

Potter has revealed a Members-only exclusive that he will keep the same starting side that played the Knights yesterday.

The coach is calling on Wests Tigers Members to help lift the team against the Penrith Panthers.

‘‘Get along there,’’ Potter said.

‘‘We need support — we want our supporters to be supporting us at our home games especially.

‘‘We’re looking to rectify what we did on Monday. The season is not over in round one.’’

Stay tuned to weststigers.com.au for the full team announcement later this afternoon.

Tim Sheens take two. Here we go again at least one change to exert authority. To easy for Penrith kick it to Utai. Out with one old head in with the next or does the board control selections???. Very sad and upset wish I could get a refund on my membership!!!

Whoa up! It is just round 1\. It is a rebuilding year for the Tigers, the premiership window was the last three seasons and they blew it. Give them time, get Miller to demand the ball instead of being a meek passenger….
If we make the 8 this season it will be a great effort. Just have to face facts that the team is a shadow of what we had the past 3 seasons, form has been erractic and there is no immeadiate joy on the horizon.

Put Chris Lawrence to wing - remove Utai
bring Rory Brien into centres. he has great defence and is a try scorer
We can't have 3 small/light back rowers in the team at same time- need some size and strength in pack .should bring up Ava and nav from state cup team
Miller should have a couple more weeks to prove he can handle 1st grade- if he can't give Brooks a go
Am losing patience with Benji - happy to give young Siro a go at pivot

That's what I'd like to see anyway. No moltzen and give tedesco a run against a team full of no names [despite their good play)
Plenty of forwards to rotate, and any injuries in the backs can be covered. Utai is a liability until ayshford and Lawrence find defensive form. But he would be a good power man to come on in 10 minute spurts at the end of each half or when we need some forward push. Could replace ayshford for that small period with Reddy moving in one spot.
