Signing Rumours..

Rothfield may not like the tigers, a lot of things may be fiction not just about the tigers but other teams in general. And i hate his bias towards Cronulla, but where there is smoke there is fire.

I remember that smoke-fire analogy being used a lot when Rothfield was busy telling people Robbie & Benji hated each other.

I reckon Taylor is a muppet but Rothfield just made up something and printed in a newspaper that a lot of people read. It amazes me that he can do that. You'd think journalism would mean having some integrity.

I also still think Siro can become a quality NRL player.

Doesn't matter which journo writes something negative about the Tigers (and a lot more than Rothfield do) - they are immediately hacks with an agenda against the club.
Forget your opinion on Sironen's playing ability - he only got dropped after his old man criticised a facet of Taylor's coaching.
Time some people woke up that where there's smoke there's fire.

99% of Taylors critics would back him on his call to drop Siro. The guy has not cut the mustard from day one as a NRL quality footballer. Injuries have not helped him, but he was carried for a few years based on potential and rightly so this year he was dropped. Time to either shape up or shape out for Siro because there are a lot of players on the way up who are just as big all wanting a shot at the NRL

Hear hear. Grey areas, as always. Just because I think Taylor is hopeless doesn’t mean I think every decision he makes is necessarily bad.

Agree, Sirro is just betting each way. Taking up the option with us in the event that another club won't take him on.

I practically worship the ground his father walked on, but Curtis simply has not kicked on even with injuries he's had three years to find himself in the backrow. He is living off name only now and if two coaches cannot extract the best out of him here, perhaps he needs to find another coach at another club to do so.

One of Ali's most recent posts;

- Craig Garvey is being chased by the Dragons and Tigers for season 2017 and beyond!!!

If we have signed Mcllwrick we don't need to spend on a hooker, we need to spend money elsewhere, if not then he would be ok.

But apparently , you can never have too many hookers.

There was a recent rumour that we've actually released Sirro, or pushed him out the door. If we release him against his will we'd have to his contract in full so can't see why on earth we'd do that. Letting him go to another club like Manly would be ok though.

Seeing everyone's been on holidays too i can't really see any credibility to the rumour.

Why forget his playing ability?
Doesnt that suit your agenda?
His playing stank…end of story

Well said ink.

:righton: :righton:

Sorry to have to spell it out so you understand my point….

Taylor didn't drop Sironen because of his play (whether anyone thinks it was poor or not) - he dropped him for personal reasons, same as he did to Farah.

Myself? I didn't think he was going that great either - although he was picked in the City team.

Coaches should pick the best players for the job in right positions - not just players that line up to wash their car.

Taylor obviously holds a pretty mean grudge.

Nah, cause playing like a busted for three years is no reason to be dropped. Naiqama, Lovett and Rankin all played with more ticker no matter how poor they were.

….and what evidence do you have that this (Taylor dropped sirro jr for personal reasons) is the case? Is it not just possible that he was playing poorly (as agreed by most here) and his fathers intervention did nothing to sway the coach's opinion so he got dropped anyway?

Some people will twist a story to suit their agenda.
Perfect example is this morning's tripe.

**'his relationship with players is causing serious concern'**

Don't think he has a track record?

A player on the outer may have a deteriorating relationship with the coach. No surprises there. Same said player talking to the media could perhaps just exaggerate the coaches player relationship situation to make his sad tale sound less like sour grapes. Seen it all before in my own workplace. Some people are gullible. Others will pounce on any tidbit that suits their agenda.

CK, I read what you write because it is usually balanced and well-reasoned.

IMO Sironen should still be at 5/8\. The greatest injustice to the young man is to have switched him to the forwards.

And to the issue about Taylor, who would believe he could ever have a problem with establishing and maintaining positive relationship’s with players?

So sironen over moses at 5/8th?
Lol. Sironen doesn't cut it period. His size and lack of speed would deem him useless in the halves.

Shift him to another sport is a better option.

Sironen is so far behind Moses it is not funny.
- Kicking game - Moses
- Passing - Moses
- Speed - Moses
- Footwork - Moses
- Size - Sironen
- Defense - Sironen
- Attitude - Moses
Moses was selected to rep game, Sironen looks poor even in NSW cup :frowning:

5/8 over Moses? You're on crack.

You do realise it wasn't JT who switched him …

Oh! Please! Have you watched any of the Intransit Cup games, where Sirro has played? He is so lazy, I am surprised he got picked for any games!

CK who would you drop to give Siro a run???? Our forwards are not great but they all put in much more effort than Siro

When the truth about Farah comes out, I think you will find that Sheens, Potter and Taylor all had the same problem with Farah.
