Walker seems short…?

Oh no! Does that mean he won't be able to throw passes to tall players?

Mate. Don't be ridiculous.

The prototype centres/wingers these days are players such as Izzy Folau, Jharal Yow Yeh, Corey Oats.
Tall, athletic with a good vertical leap.

Our backline is one of if not the… shortest in the comp.

Thompson, Nofo, Mahe... as well as Kev.
These guys cannot compete with the Edrick Lee, Joey Manu and Maumalo's of the game.
Out contested every time.

Give me backline like;

1\. RTS
2\. Oates
3\. Manu
4\. Latrell
5\. Maumalo

over midgets like Thompson, Mahe & Nofo any day.

Walker will be the best of our back 4 though, even though he's shorter than the tall boys mentioned.

As long as Madge believes he'll be ok from a cultural perspective, he would be a brilliant addition. Not just for the centre spot, but we're going to be left short for a decent backup 6 once Benji leaves. Josh's has some injury concerns and it would be good to have some quality coverage.

Otherwise, the best option we would have is to shift mbye into 6 and push thomo into fb.

Just throwing it out there!!!
Gamble’s a six if I’m not mistaken, hasn’t really been given a real go yet.
Maybe with some game time next year we could see how he plays alongside brooks.

You will find Momirovski is a better 6 than centre. Matterson can also cover if their is an in game injury. Both are superior to Walker at 6\. Walker is a strike centre we need badly.

If we can get him the backline with Brooks, Mbye, Walker, Thompson has a few speed demons and some powerhouses Marsters, Nofa.

We are not far off really becoming a finals side with a bit of luck and Madge attracting some quality we will be looking good.

Brisbane Broncos move to link Souths star Damien
Cook with incoming coach Anthony Seibold

Brisbane Broncos are reportedly among four NRL clubs making a play for star Souths and NSW Blues hooker Damien Cook.
The move would link the 27-year-old with current coach Anthony Seibold, under whom Cook’s game has flourished.
Seibold will join the Broncos from 2020 but is contracted to coach Souths in 2019 before he and Wayne Bennett swap clubs the
following season.
Cook’s manager Mario Tartak told The Daily Telegraph four clubs are chasing his client’s signature, including Souths.
There has been a club that has come in late,” Tartak said. “I would be reluctant (to name the club) because we basically agreed
not to say anything.
“We’re down to four clubs and that includes Souths. Two are in Sydney, one out of Sydney. “They are all strong offers.”
According to the Telegraph the club outside Sydney is the Broncos however Souths remain in a strong position to re-sign Cook
for 2020.
Should the move north materialise it would raise questions over the future of incumbent Broncos hooker Andrew McCullough
who is contracted until the end of the 2021 season

I'd take him.

Mate we've had that many whispers about players coming here over the past few months and none (literally none) of them have come true. Won't be holding my breath for Walker either.

I don't think there was any noise about the Matterson signing either.

My only issue with walker is his mental state.

He got axed from souths because of he OD'ed on Oxy, then his trany brother/sister got done for murder not long ago … if he is bringing a bag full of drama then i'd say pass.

If he is handling things well and has his mind on the job, then he would compliment Marsters in the centres very well.

Call me someone who prefers to sign mediocre players if you don't have anything more intelligent to reply with, but by the time 2020 rolls around, Cook will be going on 30\. No way id be investing significant money on him. Id be looking for someone a lot younger who would be a much longer term option.

Seibold will take Cook to the donkeys as he got the best out of him,No other coach went close

No chance, his manager is trying to milk the bunnies as he is after a new contract with an increase on next season included.

I aint sold on seibold yet

1st year with at team that was already built

×2
I actually think he might struggle abit at the donkeys. Yes they have great potenrltial. But the average age of the team is 23 plus they still dont have a halfback. Good luck to him. I can't see major success coming though..

Can’t believe it, Madge has now been in the job for at least three hours and no marquee signing, no big presso. What’s going on….just not good enough

Test hooker Damien Cook has reportedly been given a last-ditch offer to follow Rabbitohs
coach Anthony Seibold to the Brisbane Broncos.
The Daily Telegraph reported the potential move, though it is still believed that Cook will sign
an extension with South Sydney worth about $800,000 per season.
Despite the Seibold link, a move to Brisbane for Cook would be surprising, given that the
Broncos have Queensland State of Origin hooker Andrew McCullough.
“There has been a club that has come in late,” Cook's manager Mario Tartak told the
Telegraph.
“I would be reluctant (to name the club) because we basically agreed not to say anything.
