We don't have anyone over 800k.
According to ZeroTackle our most expensive player is Reynolds on 750\. Brooks is on 550 and Lawrence on 300.
I would assume we are in a very good position re the cap.

Only we would pay deadwood like Reynolds 750k

The Dogs only just finished paying the same amount to Greg Eastwood. That’s worse.

I really think you need to state your opinion bit closer to June next year. Otherwise it could be the case of serious egg my face disease by around June, next year.
Like many good players in past years Reynolds has been unlucky with injuries this season, but still a great player so hold your fire mate. You’re to quick for the trigger.

TIGERS READY TO POUNCE ON WADE GRAHAM
Watch for the Wests Tigers to make a play for Cronulla co-captain Wade Graham.

New Tigers coach Michael Maguire is a massive fan, having previously attempted to lure the NSW Origin forward to Souths.

Graham is eager to remain at the Sharks, but is waiting for head coach Shane Flanagan to extend his future at the club.

Financial stress aside, there are major questions being asked of Cronulla chairman Dino Mezzatesta and CEO Barry Russell and their abnormally slow ability to re-sign the head coach who has taken the Sharks to seven of the past eight finals series.

Good pick up if true. When does he come off contract?

Yes pls

Injury prone?

He adds something different to our back row. He’s got plenty of good years left and is a player who is getting better with age. Depends on $$$$

wade graham is a weird one. solid defender and adds a bit extra in attack. whenever we play against him, he doesn't seem particularly dangerous.

not a big fan and think he's overrated but i'd probably be in the minority

Broncos sack Bennett, paving way for Seibold swap

https://www.nrl.com/news/2018/12/02/brisbane-broncos-part-ways-with-wayne-bennett-paving-way-for-immediate-anthony-seibold-swap/

Uncle Wayne pockets a cool million for doing nothing. He played it to perfection, push the Bronks into a corner they could not get out of.

Well played Wayne.

More like well played Broncos.
Bennett won’t get anything near $1M as now there is an email proving Bennett was trying to look after Souths while contracted to Brisbane.

Sackable offence.

I think we might have dodged a bullet there.

Bennett should have been paid out and sacked by the Broncos the moment they signed Seibold. Wayne has done more for Brisbane than anyone in their history. 1m payout we are moving on would have been the way to go.

The leaking of this email makes Seibold look very poor. It’s come from his camp to make Bennett look bad and force Brisbane’s hand. It was effective but the players will see through it. If they were loyal to Bennett it will be interesting to see if they play for Seibold next year.

This is a big risk for the Broncos but a win for Souths. Seibold was untenable at Souths Wayne still had the dressing room at the Broncos.

He’s the master coach. Pascoe had this one right he stated Wayne was 100% commited to coaching the Broncos in 2019.

Personally not a fan of the bloke. I think he’s a very good player but bit of a tool. But my opinion may change if he were to come across to WT.

What about signing Gideon Gela-Mosby? He comes off contract at the end of 2019, is extremely quick and is a good finisher. He doesn't get much first grade at the Cowboys so maybe we could even get him early.

They're a public company, they can't just go handing out $1 million for feel good purposes.

Geeze I almost missed this post among all the soufs and donkeys chatter. Would add to the ranks at the right $€¥£

It’s a toss of a coin if he would add to the squad with his injuries

Ok so I don't get this. Bulldogs options in the halves are pretty tight.
JMK does not seem to be well handled to the hooker role.

"I have the inside word that Shaun Johnson has signed with Wests Tigers for 2020 replacing Benji Marshall!!! Unsure what this means for Reynolds."

Why do I think the Dogs have Johnson signed and not us? Unless Reynolds is going back to the Dogs and we are replacing him with Johnson (which would be a massive coup).

I guess thats why they call it the silly season.

So many ways things could play out at this stage.

Johnson going to the Sharks and taking Valentine Homes money was not an option I predicted.

I wonder if the Sharks paid a premium or got a cheapie?

Something is happening at Cronulla and they might be a good team to take a few players from.
I wouldn't hire Graham. Ok, it's an ACL tare, he should recover but I doubt he will have the speed and impact he has at the Sharks. Seems very similar to a Chris McQueen style.

The point was made if we start making finals in back to back years players would be lining up to come here well we did that and the queue was very short..It actually **started our worst recruitment period** in the Clubs history..

Didn’t we sign guys like Ellis, Galloway, Tuquiri, Blair around that period.
They were pretty big names at the time.

And they all left shortly after>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>meanwhile Rankin Littlejohn Patterson Rochow et al joined the queue after 2 years of somewhat sustained success..

Oh almost forgot Bwaith….

Matt Utai
Matt Groat
Jacob Miller
Matt Bell
Tom Humble
Joel Reddy
Masada Iosefa
Braith Anasta
Jack Buchanan
Eddy Pettybourne
Keith Lulia
Cory Paterson

Shocking recruitment from 2011-2014 really. There were some positives in there like Taupau and Austin but that's about it...

Joel Reddy wasn't as bad as many claimed ,I'd take him back now

Just skipped the last 16 pages…. Miss anything solid?

It's been pretty quiet, we've only been linked to Dylan Walker, Shaun Johnson, Martin Taupau, Alex Johnston, Manu M'au, Wade Graham, Andrew Fifita, Robert Jennings, Jack Wighton, Damien Cook, Coen Hess and James Roberts. Unsurprisingly, we've signed none of them,
