We have a near full roster for the year , i am not sure why all the forum users want to sign anyone and everyone.lets have faith in the people we have

If we wait until mid season we are more likely to pick up a hidden gem then , not a lot left at the moment

You're right there is not a lot left now. The point is that there _were_ some very good players available in recent months, who would've come in quite handy had we bothered to try.

How do you know they haven't bothered to try? You've asked for inside info several times the last few days, so you obviously have no knowledge of the inner workings and who the club has been bothered to try and sign.

It didn't help with the coaching issue

Tell that to Ryan Matterson.

We got Matterson but I think the coaching issue was a major factor. I think Pom mentioned it and it stands to reason that managers knew that Cleary was on the way out considering they are all dealing with clubs and player movements. It is not unrealistic to think it would have spooked a few players and managers not knowing who we would up with as coach and the impact it would have on the club and the team.

Let’s say it was. You can”t blame the club. They didn’t create that mess.

Definitely not blaming the club. One person at fault there. Coaches play a big part in negotiating with players - we couldnt possibly have used him knowing what we know now.

Stop putting words in my mouth. When did I say they were too lazy to try?

You said they hadn't bothered chasing players, to be not bothered to do something its either too hard or you are too lazy to do it.

Incorrect.

You could be complacent thinking you have done enough.

You could be arrogant in thinking your players are better than other squads.

You could be over confident in the abilities of existing players.

You could be a lot of things.

Yep, no mention of laziness.

We cut Grant,Sue,MWZ,Naqaima, and picked up Matterson, Momirovski and Thugrove.
Re-signed the right players and locked in our best player for the long haul.
Signed a better coach and have been out of the headlines up until Musgrove.
Elevated some real potential in Mikaele, and have good squad depth.
I don’t think th club has been lazy at all.
And Cochise didn’t label the club as being lazy, Just that we didn’t act on a lot off player movement…......and that’s true.

Our club is fine although we do need 2 x fast and big backs for next year.

Look down south and things are grim. The Club's financial position apparently is bad and if the $400,000 suspended fine is now imposed (which has to be), there could be significant issues.

The lack of decisiveness is coming home to embarrass the NRL. Some within the Sharks (who answered his emails/calls) and Flanno thumbed their noses at the NRL and continue to circle the wagons in denial. Flanno needs to be punted for a considerable time. The $400,000 suspended fine should be imposed immediately. No discounts for self reporting and Barry Russell immediately entered into the NRL Hall of Fame for a display of integrity. Any other member of the Club implicated in the grubby affair should share the same ban as Flanno.

Well played. Bravo.

Suspend the whinging Flanno for life.

Disband Cronulla and the territory goes back to St. George with no further mention of the Sharks.

Solved - next bunch of scumbags on the list …..

Someone at nrl is after flanno maybe to make a statement about ethics and standards of behaviour of club leaders. He has been sailing close to the wind for a little while now. I wouldn’t shed a tear.

Just reading all the new prices put up for Supercoach next year and it has Robert Jennings as a Wests Tigers player next year. maybe the telegraph knows something we don't.

Hope so. Good player.

Not just Jennings, but North Sydney back-rower Vincent Leuluai.
